Voidian engineers are gonna have a brain hemorrhage reading those stats ☠☠☠☠☠☠ Like seriously, space is 3d a ship designed to broadside would be massacred (as the UEE learned the hard way). GASI literally looked at what the UEE did, studied what what wrong and went: nah let me cook. In all seriousness, I have never been more flabbergasted by a design. Looking at the ship I will be dead honest, it is literally a rectangle with guns. And most of the guns are on the sides. One main disadvantage of ships designed to broadside is that you end up with a HIGHLY specialized hull. For a broadside ship to be effective it would likely place most of its weapons on the sides. Meaning fire power is VERY limited. Side mounted guns also have limited firing arcs. The idea that the ship will turn to face an undamaged side is technically practical but if the ships engines (which the models SHOW) are show off then the entire advantage of the ship is screwed. Repair ships/drones are also NOT magic. Even if your a machine you cannot repair a damaged hull with missing guns, blown off metal, and vaporized compartments unless those drones literally have everything with them. Even then it would likely take some time. In a realistic combat scenario this ship would be massacred in Fleet engagements. If you want me to be honest I have genuinely no idea what to say. I'm... shocked... my bro... why. ☠ Anyways funni lore time :scari: Voidian architects, engineers, etc have reportedly have collectively begun having an extensional mental crisis because the GASI designs. The worst part is that these engineers stated, "WE KNOW THESE GUYS CAN MAKE GOOD SHIPS, THEY KNOW HOW TO MAKE GOOD SHIPS DUDE. THEY SOMEHOW STILL FUMBLED." While the Thunderbolt was a catalyst the Phalanx was the spark. Voidian engineers have stated "DO NOT LET THIS THING ANYWHERE NEAR ME" Some engineers have unofficially created something known as "The Gemati Meter" ranging from 1 (good and reliable) to 10 (makes us want to cry in a corner... yes this is the name of the classification.) It is not just the Engineering department however, almost every "rationale" department is going through a depressing day. William Langly famously said, "This ship makes me want to go rogue and do an invasion of the Cinderest Empire again" Funny thing is that the population has an unhinged sense of humor so no one knows if this is serious or its just Voidia having a harmless joke I'd like to add that this is all canon.
