So um, hello y'all, I'm back from my orchestra tour. It was a pretty fun time (not as fun as the California trip tho B) ), and I finally came out to some friends. So anyways uhhhh, let me explain what happened each day (will state where I went because I'm not there anymore). May 14 -Ticked at myself because I slept through my alarms and almost missed the van ;-; (I woke up at 7:50 AM instead of 6 AM x-x) -Left school around 8:45 AM towards Salt Lake City -Halfway through the trip, I revealed to basically everyone that I was a furry, and surprisingly I got the best support ever -At the same time, I didn't reveal I was a femboy, but many people were suspecting I was just because of how I acted lol -Around 2 PM, we finally made it to Salt Lake City, and we went to our first stop, which was the Violin Making School of America (Really cool school to go to if you want to get certified in making violins, violas, cellos, or even basses) -Around 4:30 PM, we went to Chuck-O-Rama (I don't really like their food, but at least it's something right?) -At 6 PM, we departed to go see the Tabernacle choir do a rehearsal -At 9 Pm, we got to the hotel finally, and because I'm such a big swimmer (fun fact: I was actually going to be trained to be a lifeguard as a child because I passed swimming lessons very easily), I got into the pool. Here, I actually revealed I was gay to people, and I had support too, but I got asked some concerning questions (For the record, my bf and I dislike the whole thing that happens with couples when you get...lets say really comfortable for some adult-like things) -We went to bed at 11 PM, but my roommate and I just watched Family Guy and South Park for an hour lol May 15: -The morning was very free, so we threw in an unplanned event, which was the Salt Lake Zoo. Very fun time, got to see seals and sea lions (The seals gallumphing and the sea lions speaking were so cute, I didn't want to leave). I actually got told by multiple girls that I looked cute :,3 (didn't say I was taken x-x) -At about noon, we had lunch (I got Jersey Mike's because I love their deli meat. Plus, their staff were so funny), then I had to get in my fancy clothes. -At 3 PM, we went to go see the Utah Youth Orchestra do a rehearsal with a conductor we worked with before -At 6 PM, we arrived at our next event early, so we got dinner while we had the chance. I tried Vietnamese food for the first time, and honestly, I'd get it again because it was so delicious. -At 7 PM, we went inside the Capitol Theater to see an opera, which was La traviata (Italian for The Fallen Woman) -Opera was done at around 11 PM, so we went straight to bed when we got back May 16: -We went shopping at a mall (I got a few things, for example, my friend group and I all got matching bunnies and attached them to our pant straps [the ones for belts], I also got a new book by Christopher Paolini from Barnes & Noble) -After that whole thing, half of us left for Lagoon, while the other half was going to go see a play. I decided to go see the play since I don't like most of the rides at Lagoon (mainly because I'm a scaredy-cat ;-;), but we decided to do like a photo shoot at a playground to relieve childhood memories. -The play started at about 4 PM, and it was Once on this Island. It was definitely a good play, but one our high school shouldn't do because we are known specifically to be very racist (not me, I accept everyone), and this play sort of would make that worse. -We picked up the Lagoon people at 7 PM and headed home So yeah, that was basically my trip in detail. It was fun, but I didn't get any pictures taken. It was also definitely nice about coming out as gay and a furry (maybe a femboy?) since I know there is now support for me irl.
