We're so excited for another month of activities both classic and new, bonding, and memories to be made - let's not waste any more time and get right into it! ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ♡ FAQ “So… what is SDC?” Scratch Design Camp, or simply SDC, is a triannual virtual camp which runs in April, August, and December, right here on Scratch! This camp was created as a place for like-minded individuals to engage in a month filled with fun activities, friendly competition, and also serves as a platform for learning and continuous improvement. Here is this session's cabin lineup: ☾ moon | @chocolate_camps “Welcome to the annual Moon Festival! In a supportive environment, forge bonds and make mooncakes, with the help of an adorable and magical bunny! But when the magic starts to fade…will you risk your life on a long journey to Lunaria and save the magic before time runs out?” ☁︎ sun | @yumetopia “as a new member of SUNHAUS’ graphic design team, your task is to work with everyone in the company and produce a comeback for the label’s only group, BubbleGum, and save them from potential disbandment. join sun for an atmosphere focused on improvement, working on personal projects, and making memories with your cabinmates!” ꩜ neptune | "the gods are upon us… this year's neptunalia festival is being held on the planet itself, and campers will race to plan the celebration while accommodating both the harsh atmosphere of neptune and the whims of the festival's own namesake… and he has many opinions on how it should be run. welcome to neptune!' ◬ zenith | “ENCOM was taken back by the young Sam Flynn and all was well even to his timely death. But what happens when ZENITH Corp., a rising company from the east, augments TRON’s code and turns it into a virtual reality game? Welcome, Beta Tester, to humanity’s next paradise– just beyond your eyes. Relax in a casual but immersive storyline with classic TRON aesthetics spiked with a newfound flair, and bump wheels with fellow Beta Testers as you lose yourself to the cycles.” Please note that cabin names are only a name and have no correlation to what you’ll be doing during the session (besides possible in-cabin activities set by leaders) - you are free to design whatever you’d like regardless of the cabin you’re in! ┈⬫┈ “What kind of designs count for minutes/activity submissions?” Any type of designing as long as it is created or curated by you with your own thoughts counts! This includes but is not limited to graphic design, making moodboards or collages, interior design, product design, character design, and more. You can create your designs on any platform or medium, digital or physical! If you are unsure as to whether something counts, you can ask one of the hosts on their profile. ┈⬫┈ “How do I sign up?” Simply fill in this form in the comments below and you'll be sorted! 1: Username (no @) 2: On a scale of 1-10, how active do you expect to be throughout the month of August? Please try to be as honest and accurate as possible! 3: Your minute goal for the session (we recommend around 1000 minutes for beginners, equating to designing for 30-45 minutes daily!) 4: List at least two cabins you would prefer to be in (or no preference)? Note that if you are requesting to be in the same cabin as someone else, make sure both sides have specified so on their forms and that you have the same cabin preferences listed. 5: Would you be comfortable having your quotes screenshotted in the memory book? (Answer with Always, Ask first, or Never) Initial signups close on July 24th, and cabin invites will be sent sometime during the last week of July. Backups will be open until August 10th, and signups officially close after then. ┈⬫┈ And that's about it!
