Chapter 10: Dex was still. "Nex, I-I'm sorry. I-I couldn't f-find it," Dex said trembling. "Our best scout is dead. This mission has failed," said Nex. His voice was cold and heavy. Dex started to back away from the group of soldiers. "Where are you goin' Dex," asked Rex. "Away." Tears welled up in Dex's eyes. "I killed somebody Rex! Xandel is dead because of me!" "Don't say that, Dex. You tried your best," Rex said calmly as he set his hand on Dex's shoulder. Dex bit his lip. He didn't want to cry in front of Rexley, or anyone else.
