(“Lunar, wake up little star. We’re going to go watch the sunrise.”) ~~~ Lunar woke up a while later, to someone shaking her. “Lunar, wake up!” It was Annabeth. “Hmm? What?” Lunar asked groggily, rubbing her eyes. “Woah! Why is your voice so pretty after waking?” Annabeth exclaimed upon hearing Lunar’s voice. It had become higher, softer, and very light. Like a young child speaking to an animal. “Oh, I didn’t realize it was. What did you need?” She said, her voice not changing. “Right. Lunar, you didn’t come to dinner, so me and Percy were worried. I thought something had happened when I found you asleep.” Annabeth said, cocking her head. “I missed dinner? I must have slept through it. I’m just fine though, thank you for thinking about my well-being.” Lunar said, smiling softly. “I grabbed you an apple, here.” Annabeth said, lightly tossing Lunar a bright red apple. “Oh! Um, thanks.” Lunar said, blushing and averting her eyes from Annabeth. The daughter of Athena looked at her strangely, then seemed to realize her mistake. “Oh my gosh, no! I’m so sorry. That must have been awkward.” Lunar nodded and smiled shyly. “Well, we’re doing another campfire tonight, so if you want to come, it’s at about 7.” Annabeth said after a brief pause. “What time is it now?” Lunar asked. “Oh, it’s 6.” Said Annabeth, nodding to herself. Lunar nodded again, then finally got out of bed. Annabeth left the cabin saying,”See you later, Lunar!” The small girl took a bit to make herself more presentable than her current disheveled self, then made her bed, and decided to hang up the notes she had from Reyna, Thalia, and her mother. Lunar’s hand absent-mindedly went to the locket around her neck. “Wait. My locket?” Lunar said, as she hadn’t had her locket when she arrived. Lunar’s papa had given it to her when she was young, with a picture he had drawn of the two of them inside. “How did this get here?” She had never taken it off. It had disappeared from her neck, and she hadn’t seen it since the last time she fell asleep in Delos. Lunar clicked open the simple circular locket, and inside was the picture of her and her papa, as well as the small, foldable restringing tool her papa had bought her from a faraway merchant. She turned it around, and glued to the back with an old adhesive paste, was the lotus petal she had gotten at her i kideía tis giagiás. Lunar smiled sadly at the locket. “Anarotiémai poio thávma se éfere edó, e?” Lunar checked the clock on the wall. 6:45. “I better get moving.” So Lunar walked towards where they were having the campfire. Before leaving her cabin though, she grabbed the jacket Thalia had given her, wanting it in case it was cold. Upon reaching the campfire, she saw two familiar looking faces, smiling and talking animatedly to each other. She went and took a seat next to the girl of the two, who turned to see who had sat next to them, and saw Lunar. “Lunar! There you are. How was your nap?” Asked Lily, smiling at Lunar. “Good. I slept a bit too long though.” She replied, smiling back. “That’s an understatement, Lunar.” Kai said, rolling his eyes. Lunar’s smile grew and she rolled her eyes back. Annabeth and Percy joined them shortly after, taking a seat on the other side of Kai. “Have a nice nap, Lunar?” Percy asked, raising his eyebrows at Lunar. “Yes, I did thank you.” Lunar replied, smirking. Annabeth rolled her eyes at the both of them. Soon after that, a few people, who looked to be friends of Percy and Annabeth’s, sat down on the other side of them. There was a small, light brown-skinned boy, a pretty light brown-skinned girl, who could have been his sister from the way they were joking around, and a golden-brown haired girl, with almond shaped eyes. Annabeth had started a conversation with the Winters’ twins, Percy was talking to the girl with golden-brown hair, and the two who looked like siblings were having a conversation. Lunar just sat back quietly, and watched those building up the fire. “Hey. You okay?” Kai and Lily had switched spots so that Lily and Annabeth could more easily speak to each other, as Kai was no longer a part of the conversation. “Yeah. Just watching the fire.” Lunar replied. “It looks nice, doesn’t it?” Kai nodded. “Yeah.” When Lunar turned to look at him, he wasn’t looking at the fire. “Oh.” Lunar said simply. They both blushed and looked away.
