Today, I finally finished watching the subbed version of You and I are Polar Opposites! I wonder if I'll watch the dub one day. I heard that the script was built nmajorly around typical teen tongue. "Hello there my Gaurdian Gaming Gangsters! Caine here! SeaBass317 brought me back for a bit because she asked me personaly to tell you all about these brand new Alphabet NPCs that I didn't even... create. But hey! There's a lot of things you can do with them! A spelling-your-name adventure! A writing-a-message adventure! A word-caper adventure! And, oh wait. What's that? She even created NUMBER NPCs! A count-how-many-things-there-are-in-the-circus adventure and a Solve-it-or-mathematically-discover-your-favorite-number adventure? Googly Moogly! C! You're... giving... me.... way too much to process!" [Caine has went back to the Recycle Bin] And, yeah. after a lot of close insspection, I can conclude that the font for the Gameoverse letters seen from Gobbles' home world appears to be a modification of Luckiest Guy Pro. After loading the font into illustrator, I made my own sprites of the letters. I had to get creative ith the colors & eye placements of some. I even figured that I make some numbers too! (Fun Fact: The original Gameoverse featured 1 and 0 haracters that were colored green) I made a bit of modification to the I because it didn't look like the one in the "Arin Hansen" part of the credits. It appears that RubberRoss still uses the pre-2025 alphabet, which ended at Z. But I, being the more up-to-date one here, added Ean, Vrrrpt, Thorn, and Ampersand to follow.
c2a And now, my thoughts on the characters. Miyu Suzuki: She's quite the loudmouth! Bubbling cheery, pink hair, she's really quite the spectacle! Yuusuke Tani: Despite being a different seiyuu, he reminds me a little bit of Shoto Todoroki, Takumi Asano, and maybe Minami Iwasaki. He seems a pretty chill guy. Nabe: She's silly! Sato: Meh, I guess she's cool. Kinda feels like someone I'd have a nice long conversation with. Yamada: Oh, him? He's quite something. He's funny for starters. "Yes. I am Yamada!" Definetely someone that Kukai Souma could compete against. Nishi: She's... decent in appearance. I'm somewhat enamored by her constant shyness, her quivering, and of course, whenever she turn red. (Wait, did someone just say her first name is Natsumi? I... I... omg. I guess I found myself at least 1 favorite.) Honda: Hold on. She's played by Tomori Kusunoki? I literally already know her for Kotetsu Tatejima from Anima Yell! No wonder why she sounded so familliar! I found another tiger. She holds back a smile, which leads to a rather unsettling expression. "Let's... cheer... up?" Taira: Wait, Wataru Katou? Isn't he THE Rentarou Aijou? The ULTIMATE LOVE GOAT? Why would they cast him as such a cynical character? That just feels so out of place! That would be like an alt world where Rentarou met Hakari AFTER COLLEGE instead of High School! It feels so painful! But... if I go to the store Taira works at, will he... give me a discount if... I... purchase a Rentarou Family keychain set? (Looking to Karane, Shizuka, Nano, Kusuri, Hahari, Kurumi, Mei, Iku,..) Azuma: Her words do seem important. But the only reason that I even think about her is because "October 10th". (That's Taira's birthday btw)
