arrow keys to move through the slides so, this is a game ive been working on for a few weeks now. its very heavily inspired by zelda 2, i wanted to take the things i enjoyed the most about that game and do my own things with it. thats kinda the motivation for everything i create lol. the story of this game has you descending down a massive megastructure, so i want to capture a feeling of danger and fear in the player and instill a good amount of stress as well.. the same sort of feeling zelda 2 gives you when your really deep in a palace, and low on lives magic and you just have to try and survive. i want to have the exploration in this game feel dangerous but rewarding as well. i think something that can create that fear and danger in exploration is resource management. so thats something im looking into for this game. mainly with the magic system. if you have a limited pool of magic and spells you can use, then it makes every spell choice that much more impactful, and wasting all your meter before you can get a refill can leave you in a very bad spot. i also want to keep this as a sort of short game, so i can actually finish it. making a lot of content, esp content that you have to draw all the art for can be a very daunting task if you have a lot of different environments and enemies, like i do with this game. so im trying to find ways to create less work for myself while also not compromising too much on my creative vision
