The scouts notice the Martians in a now red weed covered Horsell Common; preparing to attack London. The Dwarves have had a few violent run-ins with the Martians so they decide to stay away from Britain and Ireland. The empire knows that while their bodies and space-faring technology is primitive and inhibitive, their brains and weapons far exceed anything else in the universe.
