Before Monomom went into her slumber as a dreamer, she gave her mask to Quirrel to make sure no one could go into her mind and break the seal. His memory is erased and he leaves Hallownest. A while after that, hes looking from howling cliffs at dirtmouth and Hornet spawns and makes him stumble and fall down to kings path. He plays through the entire game with you and helps you beat a boss called Uumuu which is guarding Monomon in later game. You then find him sitting next to Monomon's resting place and his memory comes back. Quirrel returns Monomon's mask, as Monomon believes that destroying the seals is the only way to bring an end to the infection that plagues Hallownest. You find Quirrel sitting at the edge of Blue Lake where he says he is at peace and content. And then he dies. OF COURSE RIGHT WHEN HES HAPPY HE DIES YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY help meh
