Content note of fantasy angels / demons, prophecy themes, and supernatural conflict. Before the three "factions", there was no prophecies, curses, or blessings. Death was quiet and natural. This time period was ruled by the Veil. The Veil was the living, breathing force of fate, instinct, memory, and emotion. It had no solid form. It was just a shadowy blob that morphed into different creatures (the most common being a wolf) with white, glowing eyes. But cats were like humans, and were afraid of uncertainty. They begged the Veil for protection, guidance, and meaning. And the Veil answered back. A group of mortal cats climbed the highest mountains in the territory to seek for answers during a celestial storm (to us, we call it a geomagnetic storm). They claimed to hear the Veil speaking to them. They returned changed, with glowing eyes, prophetic dreams, longer lifespans, and strange marks on the fur. These cats were first called Miracles, and the name was adapted to Saints over time. They taught the first medics, brought order, warnings, and laws. However, some Saints believed... "If we guide fate...should mortals choose for themselves?" However, not everybody agreed with the Saint's / Miracle's laws. Some cats thought that pain, freedom, and instinct mattered. That destiny should not be guided by the hand of another cat. So they challenged the Saints, and were physically altered. Now, they have prophetic nightmares, horns, and lava-like veins that glow under blacklight. They call themselves The Unbound, but by every other group are known as the Sinners. The war between these two groups nearly killed everybody. It was called the Great Divine War, and mainly had the Sinners and Saints trying to prove who was better and deserved to rule the land. Mortals suffered the most, having to deal with missing / rotting prey, burning forests, stars disappearing in the length of one night, and madness. The Veil was forced to intervene, and created the Balance Laws. Every cat is held to these rules and standards. THE BALANCE LAWS. Neither Saints, Sinners, or any mix of the two may: -Fully rule the Mortals. -Directly wipe out the other faction. -Reshape fate entirely. This is why both factions now rely on influence, omens, manipulation, alliances, and chosen companions instead of outright war. However, now, the world is unstable once more. Prophecies are failing. Saint visions are contradicting. Sinner curses are spreading strangely. Some mortals are developing strange abilities. Maybe the Veil is dying. Or simply waking up.
Okay so they'll also exp stats. Saints + sinners guys ok: Strength // Sneak // Morale // Fate Mortals (ew /j): Strength // Sneak // Morale // Fate Strength = battle stuff Sneak = sneaky stuff Morale = resistance to Divine stuff Fate = Stuff to help deliver Divine stuff Mortals will have to be in a clan. There will only be one clan, Everestclan. However, in ancient texts, its referenced as Auroraclan (because of the Miracle's climb) Also those who get pings = able to sign up cats first before the public can sign up. ask for ping if interested me-guesss
