After the major conflicts circling the Kidonawa Shogunate and the Edo Eien-ni Shogunate ended, the once militarized Kusanagi Order is now discharging many of it's troops, shrinking it's army of once a astonishing 100,000 to 5,000. During this time, happiness had relatively gone downward and Kusanagi was on the brink of collapse. That was until the new leader, Emperor Ishikura Seiichi took charge. He quickly made major reforms to the nation, exploit it's rich resources for trade such as iron, furs, rice and fishing industries. The government also lowered their tax ever since they began spending less on the military, muntiple welfare efforts such as the "New Era for Restoration Campaign" began which advocated for better education, services and healthcare. Soon, the happiness levels began to grow rapidly but so was it's army's decline, Emperor Ishikura Seiichi didn't care. He began opening up to the world, opening it's ports and used it's powerful navy, The Kusan Armanda and refitted battleships as trade ships, removing the cannons to make space for supplies. Stability began to take shape and order had returned to the once chaotic and war-struck Kusan peninsula. Kusanagi began to dock ships in foreign harbors and opened stalls to sell their goods especially rice as it was seen as an exotic baseline food that was filling and rare as the majority of rice grew in Kusan. Trade was highly successful and made the bulk of the Kusanagi industry other than ship building, agriculture and timbering as they began showing strong desires to trade with other nations including the Birdic Empire, Cortata Republic, Prussia, Catada and Ametaly.
