Shockingly, it's *not* based on a certain video game I may or may not be obsessed with. Anyway. My mom has been saying I should make a book blog for years, so this is me finally doing so! The books included in the project are some of my favorites, and I'd highly recommend reading them. I tried to pick some from different genres so hopefully there'd be something for most people...? Click the article/item you're hovering over to open it, then click through the slides! Fairly simple coding. I actually reused it from one of my old apps because I have a test tomorrow and many things to do :(( Click the bar at the top to switch between screens. You may want to search up trigger warnings or age ratings for some of the books, by the way- Music: ceilings • Lizzy McAlpine → Chocolate, I wasn't copying you, I promise!! I had this idea like a few days before you posted your app, sobs- Anyway, this one is entirely arranged by me! I did the chords and everything, so that's kind of cool. It's probably wrong in a lot of places, and I also quantized it when I maybe shouldn't have? Too late now, though. I also couldn't find my pedal when recording this, so we ended up with a bunch of layers of pads. I'm pleased to say that I have since located my pedal. Oh, yeah, and I played all of this on keyboard. Thrown to the Wolves • Em Beihold → This is kind of a fulfilment of the dream I've had since seventh grade. I've loved this song for years and have always wanted to figure out how to play it on the piano, and I finally figured it out! I did this based on the chords are on Ultimate Guitar, but it's otherwise arranged by me! I definitely simplified it, but I was going for something slightly more acoustic and simple, so it's missing the drums and extra vocals at the end. The melody is not me playing; it's just downloaded from the score I arranged on MuseScore. This is because I did not have time and because I was a little bored in Chinese class one day. The D note in a very specific octave is being really annoying, and I've tried like three different ways of trying to get it to not play a second pitch at the same time but have been most unsuccessful. I hope it doesn't bother you as much as it bothers me. Guys, I think I have to work on the pads and the panning for this. Ugh. I will do that eventually. I promise I can do better music production than I did for this thing; I have a pretty decent cover of Groundhog Day that I'll probably post when I figure out how to do the dynamics on that. I had a cover of Painkillers by Gracie Abrams on here but deleted it just before sharing this because I did it today in like thirty minutes, and Logic was being mean and kept adding extra notes I never played, plus I accidentally/on purpose quantized it, reverted it back, and it didn't have the same rhythm anymore, which is sad. I'm still learning how to use this. *sob* One day, maybe. Credits: • My mom for the inspiration for the theme • My piano teacher for teaching me how to use Logic and about music production in general • My friend who has been helping me with music production for being absolutely lovely and also for helping me with those four measures in the bridge of Thrown to the Wolves • Canva for being a lifesaver with the slides. Yes, they're simple. But I actually have no design skills and they'd definitely be far worse without Canva to help. • SWC—all people past, present, and future—for being the community it is <3
