A quill post?? On scratch??? Impossible!!! Ok yeah I know I’ve already sorta addressed my inactivity a little but it has been like 2-ish months since my last project so it’s probably best that I at least make a nod to it again :sob: I KNOWW I have been like. horribly inactive project-wise and sort of just in general, buut I do plan on getting back to projects again, especially with the advent of artfight and the refs I’ve been working on for it (or well. attempting to work on). So as a sort of ‘starter’ project to get back in the swing of things, I thought I’d start us off with a shorter one! I made this a few(??) days ago I believe, and despite being VERY impulse-based where the actual character art took all of like 10-15 minutes, I still like it a lot! I got struck with the idea of ‘what if Seraph but visual horror’, so of course I had to at least try to make something out of that. You could already argue that he and everything he does falls into psychological horror but personally I think we need some more visual horror Seraph in the world too Honestly I don’t have much to say about this lore-wise seeing that I’ve already talked a lot about Seraph before. If there was one thing I wanted to talk about though, it’d be the symbolism, specifically of the colors! The piece’s main accent is gold, since after all, that’s a color typically related to Seraph + there’s also the fact that gold often seems to project an image of altruism, divinity, etc. Despite that though, the more crimson tones still manage to cover the golds, sort of representing how his own true nature will always overshadow the image of herself he likes to portray That should be all I think! Like I said, shorter project but still a project all the same. In the end pretty happy with how it came out, especially the burned photo vibe that it has which oddly enough wasn’t the trickiest thing in the world to pull off
