Wise words THERE IS NO CURRENT DUE DATE!! A due date will be set once either every character has one entry, or once it has been too long Another DTA woo hoo!!!! I will always have at least one DTA running on this account when one DTA ends expect another one soon I freaking love DTAs If you don't know what a DTA is, it means 'draw to adopt'! Basically, you choose what character you would like to have, and then enter the competition to win it! You do this by drawing the character (or animating, whatever you like, be creative!) I will then choose my favorite out of all the entries, and that one will win the character! Basic rules: -YOU DO NOT NEED TO ASK TO ENTER I will ignore comments asking to enter. this is a competition. Anybody can enter. -no ai. If I find out you have been using ai I will never interact with you again. -You can use bases, but you must be VERY clear that it is a base. If you use a base without credit, you will be disqualified. Using a base will also not help with your score a lot. However, if you do your entry and then use a base to like. Add it into a screenshot for a show its backstory is based on or something, that would be rad, I love that stuff!! -You can only win one character!! If you do enter for multiple, it would be useful if you could rate your preferances for which you would like to win most!! -if I see you commenting anything along the lines of 'oooh i will never win your entry is SOO good' it will make me angry and you most likely won't win. By all means, compliment the other artists!! That's encoraged!! But complimenting another person by putting yourself down just makes everyone uncomfortable. -obviously, no bullying other entries or saying other people won't win. No slight jabs like 'oh this is great but you forgot this...' nothing like that. This is for fun. I do not want war. -KEEP THE DESIGNS RECOGNISABLE. You can change species, humanise, take away markings, generally simplify, i don't care. But it MUST be recognisable as the design it is based on. For example, if you made dream into a giraffe and the only similarity was the colour palette, you would not win. But if you made Dream into a giraffe but kept their wings, eyes, markings, colours, etc- that would be fine, as it is still recognisable. General tips: -Make your entries mobile friendly!! I typically use my phoke to biew entries, and it is very annoying when the only way i can view the next drawing is pressing space. -you can make as many entries as you like, but PLEASE make sure if you make seperate projects you link each of the entries in them so I know theyre all connected. - I am WAY more into effort than quality. I want to see that you love this design, and will use it if you win it. Don't get me wrong, this is an art competition, and so art will have a big part in it. But I am very much looking for effort and devotion. - backstories are VERY important to me. It shows you have some use for the character, and won't just leave it sat in a box somewhere. (You don't have to do like. Full fleshed out backstories. Just a summary, or even just a bio for the character, is fine. A short summary story is prefered to a super long one, because I am not great at reading LOL) - Whatever comments I do or don't leave on people's entries has NOTHING to do with wether or not you'll win. Please do not be disheartened if i left an 'OMG THIS IS SO RAD' comment on one person's entry and I left an 'oo cute' comment on yours. It literally just has to do with my energy levels through the day. Sometimes I can be VERY. bad at messaging. General info about the designs (obviously, can be changed, this is just my personal thoughts/ ideas for them): -Dream- Honestly this is my least favorite of the designs, they're the first one i did and I just kinda... dont like how they turned out. Definitely very dreamy vibes though -Firefly- I LOOVE this one, I think she is very pretty. Her legs are a lot more bug-like than cat-like!! She has a hard time walking on them because of her big fluffy body, so she usually flies. -Patch- This guy definitely turned out the most different from his concept sketch, but I like him!! His zippers are definitely teeth bro has a mouth in there somewhere -Dart- I love this silly little guy this is actually the second time ever I have made a poison dart frog based design and this one is definitely a lot better than my first. I think my first one was just like. A cat with poison dart frog colours and a scarf -Moon- this one feels really familiar to me and I do not know why. Anyway I like her i feel like she is crying all the time and I also don't know why!!
