✦•┈๑⋅⋯ ⋯⋅๑┈•✦✦•┈๑⋅⋯ ⋯⋅๑┈•✦ "you're young , you don't have anything to stress about !" "you're a kid , you don't know what real stress is !" Those are statements I absolutely HATE. What about school work you tell us to do, homework you give us , grades you make us worry about , chores you force us to do , and SO MANY other things you force us as kids to do ? Sure , it's not like we work 9 - 5 jobs or whatever , but that doesn't mean that we aren't stressed . When you force kids to do school work and homework and worry about our grades , it DOES , believe it or not , make us STRESSED . School is very stressful for kids , especially when they feel like they have to get everything perfect . It can also be stressful for us when we are forced to get straight A's or A's and B's . Sometimes , getting those types of grades can be really hard for kids . Reasons for the struggle of getting good grades can be burnouts , mental health , physical health , disabilities , teachers not letting kids turn in late work *this is going on with my math grade except most of my missing assignments are from end of March - beginning of April* , the work being too difficult , and MANY other things . For example , I've recently been struggling on getting my C in math up , and that's because I've also been dealing with a huge , huge burnout without getting ANY breaks and declining mental health , and the fact that I'm now always constantly worrying about my grade has led me to feeling EVEN MORE burnt out . It may not be visible , but there are a lot of kids out there like me who struggle in school because they are also struggling to take care of their mental health at the same time . So stop saying that kids don't know what stress is , because we do .
