(“Papa! Papa! Look at this apple! It will go perfectly with our proinó!” “Yes, little star! It will go perfectly. Look at how green it is!” ~~~ The rest of the campfire, Lunar and Kai didn’t speak a word to each other. They barely looked in each other’s direction. Lunar didn’t eat smores with the others, she just sat watching the fire. As it was almost over, Lunar felt someone sit down next to her. “Hello.” A pretty, simple voice said, “Hi.” came Lunar’s reply. “Are you alright? You look… sad.” The girl asked. “I’m fine. Just watching the fire.” Lunar replied, not even glancing at the girl. “It is awfully nice to watch, isn't it? So calm, yet so burning.”The girl said, to which Lunar nodded. After a couple of minutes, she finally turned to look at the girl, and discovered that it was the girl with golden-brown hair, and the almond shaped eyes. The girl turned to look at Lunar as well, and they locked eyes. “I’m Lunar. You’re friends with Percy, aren’t you?” The girl nodded, then responded, “I’m Calypso. I’m friends with Percy in the loosest terms.” Lunar narrowed her eyes, as she knew that name somewhere, but couldn’t place it. She thought for a moment, then it clicked. “Are you, the Calypso? The one who knew Oddyseus? And all the other heroes who washed up on Ogygia?” Lunar asked. Calypso nodded, smiling. “You got that fast.” Lunar looked up at the sky thoughtfully. Most of the other campers had gone back to their cabins, but a few remained straggled, talking around the campfire. Lunar started humming a song she hadn’t sung in the longest time. “Will you sing? I’ve been told you’re a delightful singer.” Calypso asked, cocking her head slightly. Lunar nodded slowly, then began to sing. “Glykó, tóso apló, dynató kai ypérocho.Dynató, tóso glykó, apló kai ypérocho.” Calypso was staring at her with shining eyes from just the first two lines. “Apló, tóso glykó, dynató kai ypérocho.Agápi, tóso dynatí, glykiá kai aplí.” After the second two lines, Calypso joined in, singing along. “Den borésame na xanavroúme tin agápi? Den borésame na xanavroúme tin agápi? Thélo na eísai esý, Thélo na eísai esý.” The two girls were drawing the attention of the few campers left around the fire, including Percy, Annabeth, and their friends, as well as the Winters twins. But, Calypso and Lunar had both looked up towards the stars as they sang, so they didn’t notice the attention. “Den borésame na xanaagapísoume? Thélo na se agapíso. Ótan xanavró tin agápi, tha éfchomai na ísoun esý. Póte tha xanavroúme tin agápi? Thélo na eísai esý.” They were just singing, not caring who heard or watched. “Aplá dynató, Agapiména dynató. Glyká dynató? Dynatá apló, Agapiména apló. Glyká apló? Dynatá glykó, Agapiména glykó. Aplá glykó?” Everyone around them was watching the two girls, eyes wide with awe. “Ótan xanavró tin agápi, tha éfchomai na ísoun esý. Den borésame na xanaagapísoume? Thélo na se agapíso. Póte tha xanavroúme tin agápi?” When the girls finished, they just continued to look up at the sky. They didn’t look anywhere else, until they heard the applause. The others around the fire had started applauding the two girls. Kai was staring at Lunar in awe, a starstruck look in his eyes. The small, light brown skinned boy, was smirking at Calypso, but he looked very in love. “That was impressive.” The other girl who had sat near Percy said. She had a certain look about her that said, ‘You mess with me, you’ll regret it for the next ten years’. Calypso looked over at Lunar, and smiled. Lunar smiled back, before sitting back and looking at the stars again.
