[math yap below] Newton's fractal is the map obtained by plotting which root of a function that Newton's method reaches when used on each point in the complex plane. The particular function is just (z^3 - 1), which still gives rise to this infinite complexity. Ironically, Isaac Newton actually did not know about this fractal. This was coloured according to the number of iterations required to get within 0.01 units of a root.
