I am working on a new game. I know, it's very surprising that the guy who makes games is working on a game (Bad joke, sorry). Anyway, this character was made to be the player character for that game. Her name is Leafy. I might have changed her name if I had thought of a better idea before she was scrapped, but oh well. The original story of the game was that you would play as a nature spirit, and the game's villain is a ghost of someone who died as a result of a natural disaster. The game would have ended with the villain telling Leafy that nature is bad because of diseases and natural disasters killing people, and then killing her. However, I was worried that people would think that the game was anti-saving the earth (I don't know how else to describe it, sorry), and I had recently released Apple's Paradise, which was a game I was worried people would see as Pro-AI. I might be overthinking it; I do have pretty bad anxiety, but still, I ultimately ended up making major changes to the story. I was going to have Leafy still be the protagonist, but she kinda just felt out of place, as there was no longer really any reason for her to be part plant. Also, she was too tall. The game is essentially one of those square platformers that Scratch has a million of, except that the square is invisible and a non-square character is just put on top of it, and Leafy is taller than the square, and making the square taller ended up resulting in a bug. So she was ultimately scrapped, but I still kinda wanted to show her off, so here's this intro animation I made for her, I guess
