TW: STORY FOLLOWS A CHARACTER WHO COMMITS SEWER SIDE!!! Branchpaw was born in Nightclan as the POV character in my WC OC story, 'When the Nigths Get Cold'. He was born a shekit, later coming out trans and switching pronouns in a queer-phobic clan. He was left on Breezeclan territory by his own abusive mother and he got close with a gay Breezeclan tom named Coalweb who has a mate named Crowslink. He was later returned to his clan and a few days later, Breezeclan launched a battle on Nightclan and since Branchpaw had been recently named an apprentice, he hd to fight his friends. But also he didn't because the majority of Breezeclan refused to fight for their evil leader, Darkstar. Instead Darkstar brought rogues to the battle and they all had to fight the rogues. They all got really torn up, but luckily no one who matters died. The next few moons were quiet, except Branchpaw kept failing his warrior assessment. After several tries, he felt it would be better if he wasn't alive. So he tore out his throat and drowned himself. When he wakes up as a ghost, he refuses to acsend to Starclan, so he stays on earth, wandering the territory alone, besides the occaisional ghost mouse or bird. A young kit begins training to be a Medicine cat, and Branchpaw can't help but try to be around her a lot. She is so colorful and kind and he just loves sitting near her. He learned her name is Applepaw. He eventually figured out that she can see him, for whatever reason, and they start talking. They quickly become secret friends and Branchpaw starts to think everything's gonna be alright. Until Applepaw asks him how he died. He's hesitant at first, but then he told her. A few days later, Applepaw confronted Nightclan's leader about Branchpaw, causing her to get really mad and throw Applepaw off the Highstump by the scruff and threaten to take away Applepaw's apprenticeship if she ever spoke to Branchpaw again. Burdened by the threat, they both agreed it would just be easier for Branchpaw to acsend to Starclan and put him behind her until Applepaw joined him. Branchpaw did acsend and was reuinited with Coalweb and Crowlsink and all his dead friends where he watched his only living friend grow up without him.
