In 1993, Alexander Miller was delivered via an emergency post-mortem extraction from the corpse of his mother, who had died moments prior. This grim beginning set the tone for a childhood defined by terror. Raised by a brutally abusive father, Alexander spent his early years acting as a human shield for his younger brother. However, the fragile protection he provided shattered completely when Alexander was just 13 years old. During a particularly savage fit of rage, his father beat the younger brother to death. Driven by a mixture of primal grief and a sudden, psychotic break, the 13-year-old Alexander retaliated, killing his father on the spot. In a desperate, deeply disturbing psychological mechanism to erase the man's existence and claim absolute dominance over his abuser, the boy consumed his father's remains. He successfully covered up the crime and vanished into the foster care system, hiding a monster inside a child's mind. Against all odds, Alexander used his hyper-focused, scarred intellect to recreate himself. By his late twenties, he had become a billionaire corporate mogul, seemingly leaving his dark past behind. He married and started a family, believing he had finally built a fortress of safety. But the illusion shattered in 2023 when his wife and children were brutally murdered. The crushing trauma broke the mental dam he had maintained since childhood. Cornered by the police during a high-speed pursuit while returning from work, Alexander made a fatal choice. He intentionally drove his car off a bridge into a roaring river. Though the wreckage was found empty and he was presumed dead, Alexander had survived. The crash, however, took a heavy toll, piercing his skull and destroying his right eye. Now, in 2026, Alexander Miller is officially dead, but Arthur Vane, as well knew as Paperface is very much alive. To hide his heavily scarred face and empty eye socket, he wraps his head in pale, paper-like medical bandages and makeshift masks. Operating from the shadows, stripped of his wealth and his humanity, he continues to hunt, kill, and consume, living as an urban legend with an insatiable hunger and nothing left to lose.
