Trinity was a high-schooler at Riverside Academy. She wasn't just a teen, though. She was an internet traveler! She could go INTO the internet, help with technical issues, and more, but she had to keep it a secret. The only people who knew about her secret were her friends Lana and Tara. She had an internship job at Nexuvo Tech Co., and in her spare time, traveled the Internet and coded. Our story starts at Riverside Academy, in a small 10th grade classroom, in the middle of a Life Science class. Lana whispers to Tara, Tara whispers to Trinity, Trinity shushes them both, and they stay quiet. Their teacher, Ms. Dana, notices Lana and her friend Katie whispering and stops talking. “Do we have a problem?” she says in a menacing tone. “N-no, Ms. Dana” they both say, embarrassed. She continues teaching. Later, at lunch, Lana, Tara, and Trinity sit together. “You know, your ability to go into the internet is SO COOL!” Tara says energetically. A few of the other kids turn their heads, but after a few seconds, they turn back to eating. “Tara!” Lana quietly says and shoves her with her elbow, “They aren’t supposed to know-” Lana is interrupted by her crush, Max, sitting down in front of her. She blushes. “M-Max! W-what are you doing here?” Max replies, “The boys kicked me out of their lunch group. Do you guys mind if I join yours?” 'YES! YESYESYES! I DO mind, because nobody’s supposed to KNOW that Trinity can travel through the Internet!' Lana screams in her head. She manages to squeak out a “No. I don’t mind.” “Are you sure?” Max says, “You’re looking a little-” “I’M FINE!” Lana interrupts. She realized what she had done. “Oh.. Oh, Max, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…” He had already walked off. She caught up with him. “Max, I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to yell at you!” Lana frantically exclaims. “No, I get it, Lana. This friendship has meant NOTHING to you! You act like a friend, and then you SCREAM at me like it was all a lie!” Max angrily replies. Trinity spots them arguing. “Guys, stop!” she says, trying to calm down the situation before it got to the point of violence. Lana walks off in tears and sits back down next to Tara. Max wheels around and quietly says, “I know your secret, Trinity Kicklighter. One wrong move and I post it worldwide.” He walks off. The 5th hour bell rings, and everyone puts away their lunch. “You remember what I said earlier in Life Science, Katie?” Lana whispers to Katie. “Yeah,” Katie replies. “Don’t tell anyone!” They all head to class. After school, Lana and Tara meet up at the park. “Hey, where’s Trinity?” Tara asks. “Trinity went to Nexuvo for her internship,” Lana replies. “H-hey, Tara?” Lana quietly says. “What?” Tara asks, thinking it wasn’t as serious as it is. “I-I told.. Someone else.. about.. The thing…” Lana follows up. Tara gets a little insecure. “Who?” “Katie,” Lana says. Tara replies, “Well, Katie’s not too bad, I mean, she’s basically the fourth member of our friend group.” Suddenly, a text appears on Lana’s phone. It’s from Trinity. You told someone? She replies. You remember Katie from Life Science? That's who. Wait, how’d you hear me? Trinity sends an eyeroll emoji. I was listening to you through your microphone. Tara instantly pockets her phone and turns it all the way off. “Okay, let’s just head home.” They both head home and relax. While Trinity is doomscrolling, she notices a post by Max. “Trinity Kicklighter has a secret. She can travel through the internet.” 500,000 views already. Not good! She hacked into Max’s profile, went to the post, and hit ‘Delete’. The next day, Trinity walks through the halls as everyone SWARMS her with questions about tech. She tries to act like it’s normal. For the next few days, this gradually decreased, until it was just a normal day. Everyone knew, but it was okay. For once, Lana felt emotionally stable. Everything was normal. Better than normal.
