illi being woke on main because this is so insane. the fact that i am genderqueer is the least interesting thing about me, but this is oppression. um so basically a bill is being passed on the old us of a that bans (in schools) books written by trans/genderqueer authors with trans/genderqueer characters in them. this bill also bans any education on the queer community, and forces schools to out trans kids to the school and their families. it has not been passed as of this day, but if it is, it could affect a population of CHILDREN (such as myself!) who are already heavily persecuted. this also very clearly goes against the first amendment about freedom of speech and expression, as many trans people are nonviolent. they just talk about the few of us who were pushed over the edge on the news a lot because they want you to think we're criminals. as a queer Christian, I must also ask for prayers as this has only made it harder, as there are plenty of trans/genderqueer kids who are Christian. what can you do? if you feel safe (unfortunately, i do not as what i do is heavily monitored), contact your local legislature and give them your input! put a worm in their ear. they have more voting ability than you! there are also various charities for supporting trans youth and adults! if you have any questions or want to talk about this with me, please do.
