Congrats to Juryoku Pierrot for winning the Japanese Oaks and Seina Imamura for being the first female jockey to not only win the Oaks, but a Japanese G1 classics race as well! First Golden Tempo making Cherie DeVaux the first female trainer Kentucky Derby winner, and Seina Imamura riding Juryoku Pierrot to becoming the first female JP classics winner, it truly is the year of the horse (Umamusume) with so many historical achievements! (yea sorry this part is longer, I'm just glad so many women in the horseracing scene -that's mostly predominated by men and male horses- could make history) The Japanese Oaks or Yushun Himba happened on May 24, 2026! I'm mostly cheering on Star Anise (Oka Sho winner, triple crown potential!), Laughterlines (I keep seeing this honse and she seems like a really strong mare), Dreamcore, and Long Tall Sally (absolutely GOATED horse names btw) Some fun history facts, did you know in the 2010 running of this race, it resulted in a dead heat (when 2 horses reach the finish line at the same time) which is the first time a Japanese G1 race had that outcome? That's why the winners show up as two horses, Apapane and Saint Emilion. Also Meisho Mambo was the 2013 winner. Take that info however you want. Mambo :3 Did I pick Daring Tact just because she's related to Heart- no. Totally not. ahaha. aha. May all horses, jockeys, and people stay safe!
Sorry this is the same song I used in that other project but come on it's just so peak and fits too Art by @BigBearu Music is Blooming at Dawn from Umamusume: Pretty Derby Thumbnail from netkeiba I just realized this is probably the mare version of AmpReFire which has the umas who won races in the triple tiara instead of triple crown T-T
