INFO: this project is about finding the greatest common factor and the least common multiple in one block. the GCM or greatest common factor finds the largest factors that are equal among the n amount of numbers, the least common multiple or LCM Finds the smallest multiple that are equal among the n amount of numbers. INFO: now i choose to allow only 2 inputs at a time but luckily LCM and GCF have the associative property [so if you chain it this way, it can also be chained another way (ex: lcm(a,b,c) = lcm(a,lcm(b,c)) = lcm(lcm(a,b),c) ) (they also have the communitive property)]. INFO: now using the GCF, you can simplify fractions by dividing both the numerator (input 1) and the denominator (input 2) by the GCF of the numerator and the denominator. INSTRUCTIONS: take the block you want (please read the notes in the PLEASE READ section.) and put it in your backpack (bottom of the screen in the editor) and pull it out of your backpack in the project you want it to be in and please put @GnomeoTheGladiator somewhere in the credits. HOMAGES: on physical calculators, there is a button that has 2 opposite arrows back to back which turned decimals into fractions and vice versa, an easy way to simplify fractions. that's why I have the 2 arrows on the simplifying fractions custom block.
CREDITS: please credit me (@GnomeoTheGladiator), i did a lot of research. your welcome. my main source was wikipedia. NOTE: if you use the list (Simplified fraction) as a variable, it will conjoin all items making it look like the fraction but you can use the (item (1) of [Simplified fraction]) to get the numerator and use the same block, except item 3 instead of item 1, to get the denominator NOTE: you don't need the [GCF or LCM of] custom block to use the simplify fractions custom block NOTE: if your not using LCM, you can remove the bottom block of the [GCF or LCM of] custom block !~PLEASE READ BEFORE USE*~! *in external project NOTE: Please Credit @GnomeoTheGladiator. NOTE: rename the following variable(s) when using the [GCF or LCM of] custom block; if these variable(s) &/or list are already in your project, rename a, b, gcf temp, GCF, &/or LCM NOTE: rename the following variable(s) &/or list when using the [()/()◄►] custom block; if these variable(s) &/or list are already in your project, rename a, b, gcf temp, GCF &/or Simplified fraction
