(Cover soon… I’m planning on making a new one for this soooo you’re gonna have to get used to Scratch being the cover lol) “Why would your parents be in an Eggman base?” Finch huffed, his eyes narrowed. Clearly, he didn’t believe them. Ro sighed, “Well… My dad travels a lot, and for his work he discovers old places and explores them. It’s his passion.” Ro looked down at his feet. “I haven’t seen him in weeks… I’ve been trying to find him. I haven’t had any luck.” Eqlips let out a breath. Finch continued to question Ro, “And your other parent? What about them?” “My mom…” Memory’s of fire flashed trough Ro’s mind, “My mom went missing.” “Oh really? A-“ Finch continued but was interrupted by Eqlips elbowing him. Her eye shimmered with emotion, “We’ll help you find them! Do you have an idea where they could be? Or maybe a photo of them?” Shoot. He didn’t want to describe EXACTLY how Silver looked. He was well known as a “criminal,” though no one who he saved ever turned him in. Though every thing he said was true the way Ro stiffly responded made it seem otherwise, “Um… my dad is white with long fur… And I don’t really recall how my mom looked before she went missing. It’s kinda hazy.” Sonar spoke before Ro could seem even more suspicious, “Ro’s Dad told him that he’d be exploring an abandoned Eggman base in the Blight district. So we’re looking around here for him.” “Hu? Well if he were looking around here then there would definitely be a dot on that map. Unless well….” Eqlips spoke, her voice drifting away at the end. An awkward and gloomy look in her eye as she went quiet. “Oh… yeah.” Ro shuffled. “Part of this map looks broken. Maybe it doesn’t work in a certain area.” Sonar pointed out, his tan thumb pointed to a hallway on the map that faded away, “He could be in that area.” “I never noticed that…” The two cyborgs muttered at once. “Let’s head that way!” Eqlips smiled before heading in that direction. Her visitor showed a mini version of that map. A red line trailed to where the map faded away. An orange star at the end of it, most likely representing her. Ro couldn’t help but feel amazed at the mini map function in her visor. As the group headed that way, Ro and Sonar lagged behind. Sonar purposely slowed down while Ro was just exhausted from his ample use of his power and the lack of self-care. Once out of earshot of the others, Sonar whispered down to Ro, “Who knew you could act? When you were talking about your missing family, it seemed like you were actually sad. Especially when you mentioned your missing mom.” “Because it’s true… well, most of it is.” Ro sighed. Sonar stopped for a second. Regret in his dark eyes, “Oh… I’m sorry.” “…It’s okay. I’m used to it.” Ro felt a flutter at Sonar's reaction, “Let’s just find that weapon.” “Yeah. But, I don’t trust them.” “I caught on to that.” Ro laughed.
*+-_-++-__-+* Moonlight glowed through the yellow round stone. The full glowing refraction on the cracked stone landed on the seven differently colored emeralds, their glow flickering like a flame. The purple crystal stand that held the yellow translucent stone. Each triangle refraction that landed on the cracked stone was a different shade. “Please work.” She whispered her plea. Surely this would be the right one. She glanced down at the tuft of brown fur in her white glove. A white ribbon was tied around the tuft securely. Clutching a moon-shaped pendant, she crouched down. Placing the fur into one of the darker purple triangles, she closed her eyes. The warmth of fire wrapping around her. Opening her eyes, she looked around. Her peripheral vision was blurry and had a red glow to it. In front of her stood a junkyard. The sky was blending with the colors of the sunset. Her ears flicked to a tarp-covered abandoned car. She spotted a red-tipped dark brown- nearly black- cat tail. Stalking over, she looked inside the cluttered car. Colorful glass bottles hung on twine across the cracked front window, their color bleeding into the blanket-filled car. Cuddled in the blankets was a familiar cat-boy. But it wasn’t her son. She could feel that she was getting closer, but this wasn’t the right timeline nor the right world. The cat-boy glanced over to her. One eye was blue, the other was purple. Quickly, she ducked down, out of sight. Leaning so that the pendant wouldn’t touch her chest, she let go, getting whipped back to her time, into her world, into her dimension. Letting out a frustrated hiss, she picked up the fur and safely stored it in a small box, as well as the pendant. “I’ll return to you soon, Rhodium…” She promised, tears forming in her eyes. The refracted moonlight that went through the magical crystal dimmed as the moon shifted out of the cave's face. Leaving her in the dim flickering light from the seven emeralds… again.
