[CLICK / SPACE / ARROWS] to see art process! @mo-chiii 1k+ DMCE!! First of all congrats to @mo-chiii for hitting 1k+ their art is so so so nice I love their style so much, go check them out if you haven’t yet!! For this piece I drew Tamamo, she was super duper fun to draw and I really loved rendering her hair and drawing her mischievous expression! Art process [click here/ space / arrows] : 1. Finished piece! 2. Sketch, done with a pencil brush. This is just a rough start to get the composition down but I always end up using my sketch as my lineart haha 3. Flat base colours, colour picked from original reference. 4. Slight shading just to get the main shadows down, done with lasso tool and big brush at low opacity! I do this to get a mixture of hard and soft edges which look nice and give more texture to the drawing. 5. Preliminary colour adjustments to set the atmosphere and make everything look more cohesive. I used HSB and Colour Balance. 6. Clean up and rendering! I do this all on one layer above the sketch layer as I don’t like having to switch between layers it gets very confusing haha 7. Drop shadows from orange and tree above + leaves in foreground for extra depth! I also added some subsurface scattering because I think it looks nice :) 8. Back to the finished piece! Added some lighter tree branches in the background and a vignette for even more depth. Also some extra colour adjustments as well! Thanks for stopping by this project and I hope you like the art!
