It makes her feel better when she compliments someone or does something nice for them. She wants them to know they can count on her (hehehehe thats the title lol) + Imaginitive: She has a great tendency to think outside the box for any situation that occurs. She likes to spend her free time thinking about random fantasies of flying or being the most powerful in the clan... in other words she makes fanfic in her mind. = Prudent: Her anxiety tends to make her overthink- which has its own myriad of problems on its own- though it inadvertently makes her deliberate in thinking. = Reserved: Despite all her anxious tendencies, her face tends to be very reserved and stoic. Her anxiety shows a lot more when she's a kit. But it dials down as she grows older. - Cautious: Pear is very conscious of her decisions and is careful before she makes any sort of resolution for a problem. Problems that are more urgent do not benefit from this trait of hers. She is not a swift thinker whatsoever. - Anxious: Fear and her understanding of it will be a great part of her development altogether. (More below on possible ideas for her) ⤪╔ Future identity (gender, pronouns, + sexuality) ╗⤨ Her future sexuality will probably be aroace, and her identity for the most part will probably be the same, UNLESS something pivotal to her character happens- for example, her OCD gets better, and she relaxes enough to want to delve into exploring her sexuality and pronouns. ⤪╔════════ Characterization ══════╗⤨ ⤨ Possible ideas I want to incorporate Responsibility OCD as a part of Pear's character. Possible character arcs mostly include her having a turning point in which she works on her OCD and compulsions to not let it control her life. Maybe she'll overcome it, maybe she'll ignore it and focus on other aspects of her life- and while that happens, her OCD may fester and hurt her in the long run. It really depends on what situations she will be put into, and the cats that she meets. ⤨ VoiceClaims Kit - Alice from Alice in wonderland (1951) Apprentice - Hermione (Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix) Warrior - Melinoe (Hades) ⤨ Hobbies 'Fanfiction' - (Daydreaming), Hunting, Hanging out with family, Collecting herbs 'just in case' (She much prefers hunting, and would prefer to be a warrior, herb collecting is also a bit of an OCD ritual) ⤨ Dislikes: Death, disease, anything that risks the lives of others.... OTTERS ╔Any Disabilities/Disorders? Research if applicable╗ ❀(RESEARCH LINKS ARE IN CREDITS!!!)❀ Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - [Responsibilty OCD] Responsibility OCD is a subtype of OCD that revolves around the obsessive responsibility and belief that a person is accountable for preventing harm. Her OCD stems from environmental stressors- such as that of being the medic's kit, and the subject of her mothers death. She understands that Blissbloom willingly took on the responsibility of taking care of her and her family, though she fears letting them down. She's afraid of the possible death of anyone in her family, just as her mother died. She loves her family very much- but worries about them more than is necessary. HOWEVER- It's not specifically that she has a specific interest to always protect those around her- She is driven by her mindset to avoid that feeling of guilt and anxiety. It's not really about protecting others. It's about escaping suffering. How does this affect roleplaying?: - She may have a ritual of checking in on her family, and asking questions like, " Are you okay? Are you hurt?" or "Did I hurt you? Are you upset?". - Pear may feel as if she is responsible for the potential harm or well-being of her family, adoptive father, and cats in her clan. She is subconsciously afraid about hurting others. - If she gets sick, she may be afraid of contaminating kits or other cats- and isolate herself. If she tracks mud into a den, she may fear it will cause some other cat to slip and fall. - If she is every put into a situation where she accidentally harms someone inadvertently by some sort of action she has made... It will be a very big point in her development as a character. Patients that have Responsibility OCD deeply struggle with the therapy- as it usually requires them putting a loved one at risk. For example: Putting cat hair in their childrens pockets helped a person grow more tolerable towards the idea of exposing their children to animals and possibly diseases that are associated with animals. - She may have rituals for 'luck' that are standard with most types of OCD. Like knocking on wood, collecting herbs, double-checking the area around her for threats, ect... ❀ ═══ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE IN COMMENTS═══ ❀ ⤨ Any questions about research or requests for jrp can be placed in the comment section
