Still working on it, not the official story but something sorta along the lines of the plot :) Ty @Abtuki_Wulf ilysmmm <333 Characters — Ren Shimizu - Japanese Jihoon Kang - Korean Haoran Wang - Chinese Damien Thorne - American The students at Silverlake High Story — 7:45am - REN I clutched the strap of my black backpack tight in one hand, glancing at the large school in front of me. It was going to be my first day at a new high school — this time in America. And boy, am I nervous. Someone ran past me, bumping me slightly as they went. I stumbled. I sighed, pushing down the nervousness that was threatening to overwhelm him. We’re fine. It’s fine. It’s just my first day a very unfamiliar school with thousands of kids who speak English more fluently than me…okay, im a bit worried that I’ll mess it up…okay, I’m a lot worried… I took a few steps forward, trying my best to keep my breathing steady. Trying, and failing. 8:00am - REN The bell rang, signaling that every kid should be in class. I took a seat in my first period, tapping my foot on the floor nervously. “Oh hey, looks like we have a new member of the class,” someone said from behind me. I gulped, really hoping that whoever it was, was really nice. I turned around and saw a tall, handsome Asian kid with dark brown hair. “Hey,” he said, looking me in the face. “My name’s Haoran. Haoran Wang.” “O-oh, hi. That’s a cool name. I’m Ren Shimizu.” I replied, knowing that I already made a complete fool of myself. Great. “I’m Chinese, by the way. In case you were wondering. And my friend who should be coming soon is Jihoon Kang. He’s Korean.” “Oh. Cool,” was all I said. Suddenly, another Asian walked in. “Heyyy, wassup, Hao?” He called out. Haoran smiled. “Yo, Jihoon! This is Ren. New student,” he added, seeing Jihoon’s puzzled face. Jihoon looked at me for a second, then shrugged. “Okay, he seems fine.” I frowned. What the heck does he mean by that? I wondered. “Oh yeah, he’s totally cool.” Haoran agreed. I thought they seemed kind of weird. But also really cool. I guess living in America has its perks. Although I’d still rather not be here. And after everything that’s going to happen, I think you’d have to agree. 8:40am - HAORAN I glanced over at Jihoon, then back at my phone. Bro, want to go walk around after school today? I texted him. I know, I know — I’m technically not supposed to have my phone out — but this is urgent. Trust. Jihoon texted back: Yeah, sounds like a plan. Maybe we can invite Ren?? I glanced back over at Jihoon, and when he caught my gaze, I nodded, giving him a thumbs-up. I’ll ask him. Also, I’ll tell Damien. He’ll want to come. I put my phone back in my pocket before I could get in trouble. I don’t get why teachers ban phones. We kinda need them, guys. Give us our freedom. 12:00pm - REN I set my tray down on the empty table, frowning at the lunch. It looked….totally edible. “Hey, mind if we sit?” Haoran’s voice came from behind me — for the second time. I nodded. “Sure.” “We also have another guy coming,” Jihoon commented, sitting down across from me — they both did. “Yeah.” Haoran smiled. “You don’t mind, do you?” “No,” I shook my head. “Not at all.” I looked back at my food, frowning. “What’s up?” Haoran asked. “Hmm?” I looked back up. “Oh, nothing. It’s just that this food looks really….how do I say it….terrifyingly…yum?” Jihoon burst out laughing, shaking his head. His fluffy black hair bounced as he did so. Haoran smiled. “Yeah, for real. Like, it looks incredibly inedible.” His dark brown eyes met mine. Suddenly, another boy walked over and took a seat next to Haoran. This must be their other friend, I mused. “Oh — hey, Damien.” Haoran turned to face me. “Ren, this is Damien. Damien, this is Ren.” Damien was a skinny American boy with fluffy black hair and brown eyes. “Hey, Ren.” He said. “Hey,” I replied. 12:16pm - JIHOON Ren’s always so awkward around people. Even us. Like, when Damien just came. Talk about awkwardness. “So,” I began. “Ren. Where were you before you came here?” He shrugged. “Japan.” “…” I glanced at Haoran. “Well — where in Japan?” “Uh, Tokyo.” “Oh, I’ve always wanted to go there!” Damien said, taking a bite of his lunch. Which, by the way, looked really gross. I’m not even gonna describe it. That’s why I bring my own lunches. I’m just better like that. “Yeah. It’s really neat. Everyone’s so polite, it’s really nice.” Ren replied. “I’ll bet.” (Cont.)
(Cont.) 12:23pm- REN I don’t know what I saw, but it concerned me. And things barely do that. Actually, I lied. I’m always concerned. We were just talking about Japan (for some reason), when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. No, it wasn’t the gray-tiled floor. No, it wasn’t the bright windows. No, it wasn’t the other students. It was something else. Something scary. Something dangerous. Something that would later on affect me — affect all of us. Me, Haoran, Jihoon, and Damien. But we didn’t know. Did we? 12:25pm - HAORAN “Oh yeah!” I cried out. “I just remembered. Damien. Ren. Jihoon and I were planning on going on a walk today, did you guys want to come?” Damien nodded. “Sure!” “What about you, Ren?” Jihoon asked. He nodded hesitantly. “Y-yeah, sure.” I smiled. “Okay, great!” But Ren seemed uneasy for some reason. It was weird.
