~Half A Decade??~ Do you know why 11th June is so special for me on Scratch? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You guessed it correctly! It was when I joined Scratch. ⭐️Instructions⭐️ - Go to the extreme left to find the sliders to change the speed and use the glow effect. - Click the confetti button to spread the confetti ⭐️Scenario⭐️ I always envisioned coding my own games since, during my childhood, I had a game addiction. Until 2020, I was not sure about this wonderful platform. It was around December 2020 when I discovered the Scratch online community, but I hadn't made an account yet. But suddenly, in April 2021, I made my first account @kkrcricket, followed by @dccricket in May 2021. Due to a lack of attention, I lost my interest in Scratch initially, so I deleted my accounts. Later, I watched @griffpatch's profile on Scratch (while randomly doing web searches). And his games quite inspired me to return and explore this awesome community. Just saying frankly that I wasn't good at coding initially at all. And finally, on the 11th June 2021, at around 9 am (IST), I joined Scratch with this account. I was new, so I wasn't aware of Scratch events, SDS, etc. I initially did f4f, but I realized that it's not a good way to gain followers. Later, I learnt that scratchers should not be forced to follow others. Instead, Scratch is a platform of passion, interest, and fun, and it's not made for followers. I decided to help the community because it was my habit to help others in the best possible way. I tried to be the helper of SDS "Wonderful World of Water" and "2021:A Year in Review" but failed to do so. Though I got demotivated, I still tried my best to be one. In December 2021, I became an English Wiki Contributor, and later in January 2022, I curated my first SDS "Magical Mixes," followed by my first Scratch Event studio "Activity Swap". I also helped with "Black History Month 2022" and "Spreading Kindness" studios. Then, due to personal reasons, I went on a hiatus for about a year. When these reasons were somewhat settled, I returned in Jan 2023, and I continued helping the SDS, Scratch Events, and created my own studios. The best moment of mine this year was being an FPC, and I loved helping the underrated Scratchers. And I was literally jumping with joy when (my idol) followed me! By the end of 2023, I had 5 featured studios, 1 project feature, and helped all SDS studios, SWC, and Scratch Events of this year. 2024 was indeed a good year for me. I was given a chance to help SDS as an SDS Curator. This was like a dream for me because I've dreamed of being one since I started helping SDS as a helper! By the end of 2024, I had 9 featured studios and 3 project features. 2025 was not the year I expected to be. I had lots of struggles preparing for my 10th class examination, as the result played an essential role in job opportunities in the future. I felt it was hard to manage studies and Scratch altogether. The best part of this year was joining the YAB and SMP programs and enjoying collaborating with the Scratch Team and my colleagues. By the end of 2025, I had 9 featured studios (0 in this year) and 5 project features (2 this year). Talking about 2026, I had a good start. I was able to make a lot of projects as of June 2026 because I was free from exams. It was the first time that I made projects for all the days of Scratch Week. As of now, the best part of this year is that I unexpectedly got featured (1 studio and 1 project) within a span of 5 days. Who knows, maybe I would have a better part of the year in the future months? ⭐️People Who Inspired⭐️ - (my idol)- Thanks for always inspiring me to serve the community and creating awesome projects.
