Hey everyone, Jasowke here. I honestly don't even know where to start with this one. It's incredibly heavy to sit down and type this out, but I wanted to put together a piece to honor someone who was a foundational pillar of so many childhoods. Losing Tom Kane this year has been a massive blow. For decades, his legendary voice brought an unbelievable amount of wisdom, heart, and personality into our living rooms. Whether he was guiding us through the galaxy as the brilliant Jedi Master Yoda in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, acting as the perfect father figure, Professor Utonium in The Powerpuff Girls, or setting the stage with those unforgettable opening episode narrations, he always left a lasting mark. But his voice wasn't just in our favorite cartoons; it was the literal soundtrack to our childhood media. Anyone who grew up popping a Disney DVD into the player will instantly recognize him as the iconic narrator for Disney's FastPlay. He was also the booming, energetic voice powering countless Cartoon Network commercials and bumper promos that hyped us up between shows. It feels surreal and deeply quiet to think that his studio microphone is now permanently silent. I put this graphic together to keep his memory alive and to give us a space to remember the incredible art he gave us. He was a true master of his craft, and things just won't be the same without him around. Rest in peace, Professor. May the Force be with you, always.
