Following the completion of the Fleetkiller, the IKN has been in an era of preparation. Massive renovations to our space forces, infrastructure, and the structure of our government are planned to begin soon. As part of this, we will be fortifying our border more heavily. We have extended our territory to make this easier, creating more choke points on our Eastern border, therefore making it easier to defend. Additionally, surveyors have identified a system west of our old border who's gigantic rings are perfect for a gigantic shipyard, so that provides another reason to expand. Additionally, the new systems could open up more resources to extraction, which of course is a good thing. The way we go about the expansion is pretty standard, using mostly colony ships escorted by our space navy. The one exception is we make the farthest systems’ stations larger than the others, and designed in a way that allows for easy expansion, as to reduce the amount of effort needed to fortify them in the future.
