So yeah, back after three months and the first thing I wanna say is that this game is the best game ever. I mean, it's almost cruel that Silksong wasn't the GOTY in 2025. I myself really hated it at first, but then loved it when I got used to it. I mean, it is super difficult, especially in act 3 where most enemies do double damage (god what is with double damage in this game.) Though there are things that got super improved from the first game, like the healing (which sucked in Hollow Knight) and the crest system which is way more customizable than the charms system in the last game. I use Hunter personally, and Wanderer + Reaper before I finished the game, because if you combo a lot you will tear off any enemy. Next I would like to talk about enemies, gauntlets and bosses. I hate gauntlets, especially the High Halls gauntlet (AKA the worst part of the game) because there's so much you have to be careful about in the game. Boss fights though are mostly enjoyable. I got stuck on some hard ones like Sister Splinter for the first time or Lost Lace, but overall they're really good (also stop hating on Savage Beastfly the first one is easy and the second one isn't bad.) Though the bosses shine a lot in act 3, with some god tier ones like Skarrsinger Karmelita or Tormented Trobbio. And then let's talk about graphics and music. They're no doubt both S tiers. I mean, beautiful areas like Lost Verdania, Moss Grotto or Far Fields are beautiful. Should I talk about the music? I mean, the best overworld music can be heard when you start this project (Choral Chambers.) Cogwork Core and Lost Verdania are also great. Best combat musics are Lace, Cut Through, Tormented Trobbio, Phantom and so on. I mean, I just can't choose. By the way Coral Tower was the 2nd hardest part for me, and if you are stuck on it, I would recommend the Hunter crest (with Injector Band, Multibinder and Claw Mirrors, Cogfly, Ascendant's Grip and Magnetite Dice.) Said this because Coral Tower is really difficult. Anyways, if you wanna know more, you should play the game for yourself. Super recommended, if you are ready for the infinite anger if you are new to Silksong or Hollow Knight.
Christopher Larkin for music.
