I bounded out of the bookshop, dodging under the housefolk's legs as they walked around on the wooden floor. Sunlight flooded my eyes and I stopped in my tracks, blinking. I couldn't see anything! Was I blind? Oh wait never mind, it was just really bright for a moment. Anyway, I was fine now. With a shake of my pelt, I trotted over to the pretty purple flowers in the corner of the fence, noticing that they were finally in bloom. Weren't they tiny buds yesterday? They grew so fast! As I approached them, I saw that a small, fuzzy, black and yellow creature was sitting on one of the flowers. Or maybe it was part orange? Yellow-orange? Whatever the word for that was. I gently poked the creature, hoping that it would move or do something interesting. Maybe it was like the hermit crab, and it just needed motivation. A buzz escaped from it and it moved transparent wings that I hadn't seen beforehand. It could fly! Cool! The creature waddled across the flower after I poked it a second time, almost as if it was trying to get away from me. How dare it! I was the most awesome cat that ever existed, this strange flying thing should be in awe of me! With a wide smile, I bounced around to the other side of the flower and tried to grab the creature with a paw, wanting to watch it more closely. It was apparently /not/ like a hermit crab and, being extremely rude, scuttled away from my outstretched paw. I tried again, knowing that it would like me after a few tries. Instead, I was greeted with a sharp pa!n in that paw and a yelp escaped my lips. Ow! It hvrt me! The creature buzzed its wings and flew away, wobbling in the air like a blade of grass in the wind. Tears began to run down my cheeks as I looked back down at my injvred paw, noticing that it was beginning to swell. Oh no! What if it was permanently huge? It would look horrible! I ran back to the bookshop with a wail of distress, calling to the twolegs that milled around the shelves. They would know what to do. Mean creature!
