Every service worker should be paid a minimum wage (On top of being provided the essentials by the government), they should also make tips ON TOP of that. Tipping should been seen as entirely voluntary and a way to reward good service, not a "I need to pay this guy's rent-" kind of thing. It should be universal across the service industry. Anything where the customer's experience is the product, should have this, to encourage workers to provide the best experience they can. Workers should also have minor pay raises everytime a customer recommends the experience to someone they know or leave a good review. Incentives system, not income system. You should leave a 10% tip if it was okay, a 15% tip if it was amazing and 20% if it was the best experience you've ever had.
