Getting to live out the lives of different characters, and bring out the best and worst parts of them is what makes me happy. ˚₊ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ [ Application Choice + Reasoning ] ❥ I'm applying for the beautiful Mourningdovekit!! ❥ Mourningdove's design is what drew me in originally, because I could already see a character forming in how she was posed, in her eyes, and her description. I love how her design is on the simpler side, yet still sneaks in little details everywhere. It adds to the character (and the freckles are my everything... I ADORE cats with freckles). Alongside that, I am a sucker when it comes to legacy names. Mourningdove sharing a name with her mother is going to be a key piece in her story, and I like to think it may be a conflicting, yet rewarding, journey alongside her own, primary path ˚₊ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ [ Personality ] ❥ Simplified [+] ... observant, confident, loyal, adaptable [=] ... stubborn, independent, diplomatic, prideful [-] ... manipulative, snarky, arrogant, argumentative ❥ Detailed - Mourningdove knows how to keep things professional and can handle delicate situations without making things worse. She can observe a situation and allow herself to find where she fits, staying adaptable to a situation. Despite this, however, her morals aren't easily swayed. This is why it is such a big part of her story when her beliefs are challenged, because it threatens what she refuses to change in her own mind. Dove occasionally does reckless things when she thinks she can get out of them. She will argue, challenge, and press anyone trying to get her into trouble, and does her best to play her cards right to keep her out of trouble. ˚₊ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ [ Gender + Pronouns ] ❥ I honestly struggle to keep to my word when it comes to gender and pronouns. Sometimes I feel it doesn't fit the character later in life when I set something down during their childhood. Currently, I'll be using she/her pronouns, though that could always change later ˚₊ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ [ Ideas ] ❥ When I saw her, I thought of the "looks like a cinnamon roll, could k/ll you" audio (that exact piece of the audio too), and it just fits so perfectly. She seems like the type of character to absolutely master her poker face and be able to act innocent over something she absolutely did. ❥ The stylistic stars in her eyes gives me the idea to go for stardust as an accessory so I can achieve that goal and give her a sort of whimsical vibe. Without having to worry about school, I'm able to develop my characters properly. I use Carnationstar as an example for this, because she was born during the irl summer, and is one of my favorite characters to date ❥ My activity doesn't tend to fluctuate during the week, unless something is planned, and I would think I could rate myself as an 8 on activity during all days of the week, maybe an 8.5 on the weekends ˚₊ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ [ Roleplay Example ] ❥ Mourningdovekit ` she / her ` 1 moon Sunlight peered in from the nursery entrance, warming the sand it touched. Dove was sitting in the corner of the den, staring at the sand with a displeased expression on her face. It was warming, which meant it would get hot enough to the point it was painful to walk on it. The shady rock she sat on was cool, sure, but she couldn't stay in the nursery forever. She moved her paw, carefully, and pressed her pad against the sand, moving it back quickly as the hot sand stung her paw. Surely warriors were accustomed to this, right? Perhaps she could call someone to aid her out of this den. No, that wouldn't do. Mourningdovekit had to figure this out on her own. It's left undecided for now, because it all depends on everything happening irp, though I believe she will believe in the Dark Forest ❥ Views on Violence - In a Clan where violence is what it's typically most famous for because of the Dark Forest, Dove is right along with the rest of them. She doesn't take to violence unless it's necessary, but it still isn't something she's against, or something she holds against someone ❥ Views on Loyalty - Loyalty is a key piece in Mimi's view of the world, because she holds loyalty above almost everything else. In a world where alliances, acquaintances, and friends are important to evade enemies, whether feline or otherwise, finding people who she can trust will be on her side and are truly reliable is really important to her ˚₊ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ [ Clan ] ❥ I think UrchinClan gives Mourningdove the most opportunity for character development.
