⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ I love filling these out hehe ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ 1. the session that made you want to apply and why? my very first session, july '22!! i had so much fun i decided to apply that november lol 2. was your first app a co+leader app or co only? co only :) 3. first app of yours? oh boy... https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/727720498 4. most recent app of yours? https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1260807231 !! this is technically my most recent one since the one i made this session was a joke app ;D 5. app question that takes the least amount of time? probably the bonus question LOL 6. app question that takes the longest? communication + time management usually take me the longest, since they're the most involved answers for me! 7. favourite app question? probably cabin prefs :) about me is fun too 8. least favourite app question? one quality because it was so hard to come up with a completely different answer each time </3 9. app question with answers you find most fun to read? i love reading about mes!! 10. any specific habits on answering questions (order, time of session etc)? i usually answer them pretty much in order, i list negative traits before positive ones (i like ending things on a happy note), and uhh i usually procrastinate until the last minute haha 11. app that took the least amount of time? probably my first :( 12. app that took the most amount of time? most likely teeth 13. favourite app by another swc-er you’ve ever seen? surprisingly not a joke app by fi (july '22 session) is hands-down my favorite app ever :D 14. how do you (usually) pick app themes? i lowkey don't even know lol — sometimes i base them off of funny stuff that happened in previous swc sessions, sometimes it's based off of something i like, and sometimes it's totally random 15. an app of yours you wish you could’ve spent more time and effort on? um...yum? is one i really wish i could have dedicated more effort to; i ended up running out of both time and motivation, but i think i could have done more with it if i'd had the chance 16. have you ever made an app that has the same theme as the cabin you were looking to lead that session? (...very random but genuinely curious cause i’ve seen quite a few xD) no sadly :( but i kinda want to hehehe 17. what are some things you do to counter motivation loss during app season (drop your tips and share with all of us please :pleading:)? procrastinate *cough* usually i either simplify the app theme if the format is causing problems, or in the case of answers idek i just power through lol 18. what are some app themes you’ve considered but didn’t end up going with? (doesn’t have to be this session only, any ideas for apps from past sessions is okay too!) - ketchup smoothies - rubber bands - exploding kittens (oh wait...) 19. what is the latest you’ve stayed up for anything leader apps (waiting for results, working on app late at night etc)? honestly can't even remember, probably not very late though lol 20. if leader apps were a food, what food would it be? peanut butter and jelly don't ask why 21. if your apps all had their own personalities, which one would you want to be friends with the most? probably toes because look at how happy they are!! 22. adding on to previous question, is there an app you would probably want to avoid if they were sentient? if teeth was sentient i would be running away very fast and you should too 23. words of advice to someone who’s thinking of making a swc app for the first time? just go for it!! it doesn't matter how much experience you have, we all have to start somewhere. also, don't be discouraged if you're not offered to the first or even second (or third, etc) time around — stick with it and keep trying :) 24. least favourite app you’ve made? my untitled app from july '24 :( it was made in a rush and pretty low-quality lol 25. favourite app (or just the one you’re most proud of!) you’ve made and why? either toes or succulents!! i put a lot of effort and time into both of them, and overall i'm very happy with how they turned out 26. what is your favourite part about making an app? sharing it...especially if it has a really wonky theme ;D my second favorite part is reading the comments, especially if, as before, it has a really wonky theme (there were some extremely funny reactions to toes) 27. any other fun facts about your app making process you’d like to share? ooh yes! i like to challenge myself to use as few sprites as possible when it comes to the project itself — most of my recent apps only have about 3 sprites, give or take a couple! i achieve this by using clones, my coding experience with scratch, and the loss of my sanity for approximately a week while i try to remember how this specific code block works
28. do you have plans to make more apps in the future? yes, absolutely! 29. advertise one of your apps here ^^ xD LOL sure, go check out my first successful app!! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1061923192/ 30. tag some swc-ers that should definitely answer these questions as well! @amazaeevee @babyoda1546 and ofc you!! ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ credits ◦ thumbnail made by yume on canva! ◦ questions written by yume xD ◦ swc for being swc <33 a list of everyone who contributed to this camp up until now can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/809038/?page=1#post-8423770 ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫ ┈┈┈ ⬫
