Some evidence :> Kind of went detective mode!! DO NOT HARASS OR BOTHER THIS SCRATCHER. They do not mean any harm! Rather talk to them politely. I am an Artist, I hate tracers. My second cousin does trace art, but she’s younger than me AND she says she traces it, so it’s not like she’s actively lying to anyone, she just doesn’t have the skills yet to draw independently and likes to customise pre-made art. Thats is different. She knows shes tracing, but she’s just having fun colouring Amy and shadow from sonic and making her own characters, and that is respectable. Shes not hurting or posting this art anywhere, and is not taking credit for making the original art. She isn’t bragging or entering competitions or drawing a traced piece for someone, shes just drawing for herself, for fun! By the way tracing DOES help you learn..but only up until a point! If you just trace, and not create you won’t understand how stuff works. You won’t understand how sketching works, or lighting. All you’ll learn is how to copy, which isnt a bad skill retrospectively. My friends used to use apps like the pin app for drawing ideas, i was always against the Idea because they arnt using their brain to think what they want to draw, they are simply looking up a reference for clothing or pose or little doodle. I understand that creativity can be dry, but if you don’t LEARN how to think or in vision anything you won’t be able to make anything yourself because you always reference something. Referencing in it’s self is not bad at all! If you’re drawing a character it’s very useful! Or a pose that you’re struggling with! But if you’re fed everything from the start, you won’t be able to try anything else..! My point is it’s more beneficial to ACTUALLY draw. People pick up a pencil. Start with the basics. Watch easy tutorials! You don’t need to shade or do any big steps yet. Running will take your breath, but walking will not. It’s not about speed, it’s about learning. Your mind is actively learning, every mistake you make will be memorised and corrected for future! :>
