so I had an idea... what if: wolves replaced humans as the dominant species of Earth. Then, the story takes place in the 1840s (if you've read the title by now, you might know what I might be putting together...). the wolves have developed things we did at the time, such as guns, tools, wagons, (decent) medicine, maps, etc. but different from the ones we know. Guns might have like a different trigger mechanism meant for paws, tools might be built for mouths, and stuff like that. Civilization developed differently too, with wolf values integrated. They've developed mental things too, such as religion, *prejudice*, schools/education, etc. The story follows a pack (or a family to us) of wolves who must cross the Oregon Trail. If you have any ideas, let me know please! (In a gist: this world is almost parallel to ours in the 1840s, but where wolves took over instead of humans.)
I'm still deciding how anthropomorphized the wolves will be... let me know!
