HUGE thanks to @EndoPlasmic- for this idea and also just being cool rules: - niche songs ONLY - either not animated on scratch OR generally just lesser known bands****** (CHECK BOTTOM FOR THIS) - if your song is deemed "not niche" enough you won't be eligible to host next Niche Contest but it won't affect your ranking (next person down will host) - can be any format of animation judging: - based on 3 things: creativity/uniqueness, animation (like animation skill), and art (how artistic it is :sparkle:) - multiple judges hopefully (so less biased) - winner gets next host song . watch your mouth (the backseat lovers) *******by lesser known I MEAN LESSER KNOWN. if i see tyler the creator or nirvana or smth i'm gonna cry some good ways to tell if your song is niche (there arent set rules, just if you need help figuring out if a song is "niche") - if it has less than 1-2 million views on youtube - if the band is a one-hit wonder (as in they had one song that blew up but had nothing else get attention) and you're choosing anything OTHER than that hit - also since a lot of the amv community is generally english-speaking, going for a song in a different language might be a smart play - if you've never heard someone talk about it before - if it's un-animated on scratch - if the song is not on scratch at all (for example, if you look up "the backseat lovers," the song playing in this project comes up, but "circle of death" doesn't (unless you find the map)
