Following Gamera's most recent battle, strange eggs had been found on a California beach and they quickly hatched into car sized monsters called "Jigers". The Jigers quickly terrorised humanity, and gained Gamera's attention. 3 Jigers were captured, but quickly escaped however Gamera had arrived on the scene, picking up and crushing one of the Jigers. The Second and Third Jigers tried to flee, but the second was destroyed by one of Gamera's fireballs, while the third successfully escaped to a remote island, off the coast of California. On the island, the last Jiger began eating humans stranded on the island, soon he began growing larger and developed more horns, and a longer tail, eventually reaching a size big enough to match Gamera. The Guardian was completely unaware of what Jiger had been doing, as he was busy dealing with trying to find a portal to hell, to stop the invasion, because as long as hell still existed, the invasion would continue, and his previous could possibly regenerate in hell. However Gamera would be forced to deal with Jiger when he sensed humans in distress on the island Jiger was located on, which he responded to. Gamera landed, and found the now kaiju sized Jiger, who charged at him, Gamera clawed at his opponent, but Jiger had a nasty trick up his sleeve, when Gamera fired a fireball, Jiger mimicked the ability and fired copies of Gamera's fireballs, then charged at him, before roaring. Gamera had to think outside the box, if he wanted to beat Jiger, as he could mimic whatever he could throw at him. Gamera thought quickly, and moved out of the way, just as Jiger was about to impale him using his horn, then Gamera bit Jiger's frill and tore a chunk off. Jiger wasn't going to take this lightly, and he fired a fireball at Gamera, before impaling his hand, now Jiger had Gamera, and charged up 4 fireballs, but Gamera fired his own fireball at his trapped hand, severing it, then he blocked one of the fireballs with the stump on his arm, and absorbed it, gaining a fiery fist. Jiger didn't belive what he was seeing, and Gamera punched Jiger with his flame made fist, and then lifted him above himself, and delivered the final blow. Jiger had finally been slain, but not without great cost to Gamera, as he still had more fights to save humanity, could he still do it? The same voice from his killing of Zigra, spoke to him again, "It's already too late Gamera, you are fighting a losing battle." Gamera flew away with those words in his mind.
