The ‘Katabasis Question’ has been on the minds of Caribbean physicists for several years now. While they were well-versed in the works of negative space and trans-dimensional space, they remained unable to find a way as to how to restore the wastes of Katabasis to the Earthly plain, and make them the estate of mankind. A solution was eventually devised. To deactivate the Katabasis, and therefore the Apotheosis complex, one would have to separate its portion of negative space from its portion of reality, conserving the former into its own plane of existence. Luckily, there is a rift that can be exploited such - the boundary between the worldlands and the farlands. Reality and negative space are already two separate and distinct planes, so one only has to untie the rift to clear away the overlap and set both planes completely apart. It is possible to travel between reality and a pocket dimension contained within negative space, but only through a select few rifts. Though, as all of Apotheosis is contained within the combined plane of the Katabasis, the entire thing is a huge rift in parallel with realit; this, travel, transmission and coexistence between it and reality is possible anywhere. But the Caribbean doesn’t just want to travel through the Katabasis - rather, to separate it from the real world, so that the land is freed up once more. The way to do this was to create a singularity at the intersection of the worldlands and the farlands - a focused point of hyper-dimensional space that subsumes the boundary line between the two planes, destroying the bridge between them. Reality and the pocket of negative space would have to be folded around one another, with the focal point of this folding becoming a singularity that forms between them a permanent divide. The folding would have to coalesce around a gravitational centre. As no matter can exist in pure negative space, trying to translate an extremely compact mass centre with infinite density of mass - like a black hole - onto its boundary line would cause a dimensional paradox that would tear both regions apart, and subsume any overlap. So, the Caribbean set up a potent particle reactor at the very border of Inuit territory, with the intention of creating a micro black hole that could disrupt the fabric of the Katabasis. As soon as the tetra electron volt range - a necessary pretext for creating micro black holes - was reached, the particle collider ejected its contents into the Katabasis, where the compression of reality was such that a micro black hole could form under pressure. Then, as every part of the Katabasis has an infinite number of rifts to the farlands, the black hole was already at the intersection betwixt reality and negative space. All the existence contained in the Katabasis therefore folded around it in the manner described above. Kalmataka’s corpse was split in twain. The farlands were divorced from the worldlands. Apotheosis ended, but simultaneously continued in ways yet unimaginable to man. Where once the great prairies of America stood, all that remains are the vestiges of hell on Earth. But rather than the vault of stirring groans that once reigned, an undisturbed silence usurped the plane of Hell on Earth. A complex of eyed spires, strung with ladles of flesh, lies terraced over the land, preserving apocalypse in its vacant gaze.
@Marica_games for the old TV screen filter Attention everyone! Before you start staking claims on that huge patch of free land in North America, please bear in mind the following: the land is pretty much unusable and inhospitable in its current form. It’s literally an expanse of corpses and flesh, which will take years to clean up. It’s not just some land that you can waltz into and start developing immediately. Any low-effort, ‘hey this land is mine!!!!’ projects WILL be voided.
