Second screenshot I'll be releasing regarding progress on the actual Scratch OS 2026 rewrite. I finally was able to get example.com to render almost perfectly, fonts aren't implemented yet, that's for a later chapter, so the OS uses the default 8x16 bitmap font You will notice that the UI looks nothing like the work desk mockups I posted earlier, but that's because I'm focusing on functionality first and looks later. This is just a temporary UI I'm using for testing. ALSO, big news: I'm finally done with fixing the memory corruption and OS stability issues, and I'm back on the browser! I've also extended the deadline of this project to March 14th, 2027. I also added more to the roadmap, so finishing chapters 1-10 is the 25% mark now. I hope to completely verify chapters 1-10 by day 100 (June 22nd, 2026) and finally move on. What's left is fixing the ping app, rendering example.com, fixing small inconsistencies, screen brightness, DOOM implementation, Scratch Runner not working, start menu being bugged, etc., and cross-checking it with a checklist.
