(Music is in the project.) 12/2415 The Caribbean has done the unthinkable and has expelled the contents of the Apotheotic Hell upon the great, holy lands of America. Normally, this would be the greatest tragedy since 2407, but given what is now known about Adytum and the NASM, this is not the case. For years, the NASM has been creating contingencies and alternate plans for what to do if the barrier were to fall. Adytum was the greatest ally the NASM ever had, and the NASM wishes to restore them to their former glory, in a blaze of unbridled curling of flesh and blood. Given that now is the time that the barrier has fallen, the NASM, but more specifically Lord Hubbard, has moved swiftly into action. With this, the Great Liberation Campaign can now begin. Lord Hubbard has been monitoring several outposts of the Katabasis for some time now, extending his influence in certain places and gaining favor with certain local factions. With all of this in mind, campaigns to fully trek the Great West and Hell have begun, springing up most directly from Anarchobama and the Enclave, with some “voluntary entry” from the USA and Deseret as well via highway systems. Thus begins the forward movement of flesh and bone, the song of liberty and blood, and the reclamation of the Great American West. Firstly, the NASM has begun with these expeditions and continues to increase relations with local factions, while collecting samples from local flora and fauna/building temporary encampments to keep a steady route. These routes are extremely insecure and locals are very ravenous/violent, but the civilized factions have proven worth it enough to continue exploration. Flesh samples are being collected, and local machinery is being analyzed to see if it can be reverse-engineered for strategic purposes. The NASM and Lord Hubbard have yet to find the Perfect Specimen or Kalmaktama’s True Remnants Montgomery will likely be explored soon as well, but given its presence under the USA at the moment, this may be difficult. Regardless, expeditions continue, and relations have been established in Tertiary, a small village in the center of the Katabasis. Routes there have been hard to come by, but regardless, it has remained stable. Very temporary churches are being built where they can be, locals are being given much needed resources, and violent entities are being eviscerated via high velocity plasma and technological shutdown. Attempts to map the newly relieved areas have proven difficult due to the organic properties of the terrain and constant shifting of lands, but what few drones can handle the extreme environments and temperatures have proven marginally effective in creating rough terrain and tactical maps. Finally, about Lord Hubbard. He sees all the organic creatures of this Earth, and those native to it, as victims of Galactic Overlord Xenu, and will continue to defend the native thetans of the land if it can be helped. His goal is to liberate the minds of all the oppressed thetans of the world, and he has been doing this one village and settlement at a time. He has found marginal success with insectoids and machines, though these machines have had a hard time being receptive due to their more cold and violent nature. Humanoids have proven the most receptive to Scientologist ideals, and Hubbard himself has managed to establish relations with several factions and create churches himself. Of course most of these interactions with Hubbard seem to be with the more, say, “delusional” factions, though there have been genuine reports of a flying, disembodied energy head in the sky speaking to natives. Now, whether this is a hologram, astral projection, or just delusions, is up for you to decide. Regardless, expansion into the Katabasis has been a violent and arduous process, and it has only stood to keep certain factions neutral towards the NASM and create a stable front line against the likely soon-to-come hordes. Hailrh. Static and scanlines are by people who i forgot, but they aren't by me, music isn't by me, and the map was taken from Ida's project. The rest IS by me. (well except for the hellscape image) Also the "networks" are networks of "civilized" settlements, AKA small pockets where supplies can be collected and people can congregate permanently without immediately being eviscerated or being destroyed. The lines connecting them involve presumably stable pathways between these settlements which must be heavily guarded and constantly patrolled for entities. Extreme environmental gear and drone support is required for these paths generally. Going off of these paths requires far more manpower, drone, etc. support to be reasonable, and establishing new pathways will prove difficult until larger parts of the biomass are dealt with.
