Multiple Highly contagious universally infecting airborne diseases, parasites, and virae were the first things to exit what was the Katabasis in droves of strains omnidirectionally. Dilated Time in orders of centuries and accelerated evolutionary development on all species and terrain before the disruption in a fleshy environment was a breeding ground for festering strains to develop into tumors that would be far, far more disgusting than anything Earth had come up with insofar. The environment of the Katabasis, what with it's extremism and being a far larger and more hostile place developing separate from Earth, would have it's first collapse be an ecological one before a single step of it's being came over. Virae of various kinds were noted to develop rapidly as conjugated pests diverged from SCP-610, 'The Flesh that Hates', seemingly having become an airborne variant from a singular strain transferred centuries ago through unknown means. Outbreaks on the borders of the Enclave, Caribbean, Inuit, and Chicago have already been reported of rapid infection and spread. The nature of the Dominion makes the Virae ineffective in it's direction, unable to handle the extreme radiation. It is assumed that the lack of SCP-610 outbreaks in the Katabasis is that everything in it is already 'infected', thought anomalous immunization is also being considered. Contact with the fauna inhabiting the lands will have to be conducted accordingly. Other strains of various nature soon came after, similarly in droves of airborne infection. Whilst not nearly as devastating or even anomalous in their nature, they still followed suit and would stack onto the Anomalous Virae into creating abhorrencies and rapid infection of border patrol. Whilst abiotic automatons are immune to such, the virae are capable of latching on and using them as hosts. They have begun to do so to the SRAs on the border. Notes of 'Winged beings' and Cicadas manifesting around Deactivated SRAs, temples, and other religious spots are notable. As of current, congregation of extreme atmospheric blocking by extremely thick smogs akin to a miniature Kessier syndrome around the Katabasis prevent satellite data and other forms of non-exploratory processing to generate maps to be particularly detailed, and data coming in has revealed that the Terrain and conditions rapidly fluctuates. This also mostly prevents any kind of manned aircraft, and large aircraft as a whole from entering.
