His hand was behind his back. He uncurled his hand and set it in front of him. "I can't wake mom up, so can you help me?" His hand was smeared with red b!00d. A open cut was straight on his wrist. I sighed. "Come with me." I said. I led him to the kitchen and pulled out the first aid kit. Not that I'd be useful with it or anything. I'm an old useless lump of meat that's crazy and has no friends anyways. I took out something that looked like jel. As I was opening it I asked, "What happened?" I asked. "I-I" "You can tell me." I said. "I was using a knife." "For what? To chop something?" I questioned. I squeezed the gel onto his hand. "OOOW! it stings!" Kevin screamed. he blew on it. "Go wash your hand in the sink and dry with a paper towel. What were you using a knife for?" I said. "I-I-to ki!! an animal. I was being bit. It was an emergency. It was a fox. I was just outside, Sitting and playing with Max." Max was our dog. "And Max started barking. he ran to the backyard and a fox jumped over the fence. I almost got bit. I took out the knife, and... you know the rest." He finished. "Did you really hurt it?" I worried."N-no. I'm telling the truth. I scared it away. I missed. The knife hit me." Kevin threw the paper towel into the trash and took out a bandadge. I stuck it crookedly. "I'm not the doctor, but it should heal after a week or 2. I think." I sighed again.
