QUICK WARNING, THIS IS MY OPINION. I'm not making fun of anyone for shipping two characters, that's your opinion and I don't mind. Also, I'm fairly sure these changes have been pulled back, as the lore is being greatly changed in the grand update anyway. This situation is dumb imo If you didn't know, from what I've heard the lore writer was planning on changing pursuer's lore to more of a feral animal (I think), and the community was getting angry about it - to the point of harassing the devs - because they couldn't ship them with artful anymore or smth? (I put a question mark here bc there is also other reasons why this change made the community mad) Now I usually am obsessed with lore in games, and I especially was in Die of Death, but personally I wouldn't have cared too much about this change, because it doesn't affect the way I see pursuer too much, and I don't ship him or any of the characters for that matter. Although you may disagree, which is perfectly fine, I don't see any chemistry between artful and pursuer anyway. Pursuer would probably just eat him in an instant. But, the issue doesn't mainly come from the shipping, it comes from the harassment of the dod devs. Dude. WHAT are we doing. JUST PLAY THE GAME... ITS NOT THAT SERIOUS. Just reiterating that I'm not mad at people shipping and people who disagree with the change, that's fine imo (although I personally wouldn't ship). I'm angry at people harassing devs and other people over this. I've never seen people get this angry about the lore to the point of harassment, it doesn't affect gameplay WHATSOEVER.
Its nice hearing everyone's opinions on the matter as well, please feel free to discuss how you feel about this below! Please correct me if I'm wrong about what happened, there's very little info on it and I may have misread something. But from what I've seen, this situation is SO blown out of proportion it makes me angry. I think the devs reverted this change though, giving the harassers what they wanted, which is the peaceful and (arguably) better way to resolve this, but it is possibly signalling to the community that if they don't like a change they can just harass the devs again and they'll cave in.
