THIS PROJECT IS NOT FOR KIDS. The first installment of Super Friggin' Retakes. Unfortunately, each series might have to cut off some stuff or two. This first installment, isn't no different. I only ever got to fully implimenting the first part of the Tails level. Late December of 2025 to Early March of 2026, I, along with JCBoy (a mutual) were developing a retake that aimed to parody a lot of the current day formulas that Sonic.EXE fangames take shape of. "Run to the left and get decimated to a crisp simulator", they call it. This was scrapped because as of recently, I had pitched the idea of doing a more serious take of this project without all the parody branding in it. This game wasn't very well coded. In fact, it was so terrible that it was one of the main reasons why this project ceased development. A friend of mine had tried it a while ago and told me that although it was in a way, stereotypical like all the other EXE fangames out there, it was simply way too bland and boring to even be considered an EXE fangame. Just. A typical EXE clone. No special sauce or anything in it either. And honesty is the best policy, I could see why it was that way. A whole lot of content had to be cut out from the original, like a checkpoint system, ring system, stuff to maybe hopefully make it say "This is just your ordinary SonicEXE clone." All of this boiled down to it being just too boring to work on. I have since moved onto other projects like these and HOPEFULLY, when I am able to tackle a project like this again, I'll try to make it more unique. Which is soon... At least I hope it is.
