The Order of the Paw is dogs (or other animals) trusted by the clans and given a paw-print on their chest to prove they wont harm the clans. If an oath is broken in the order of the paw, the paw-shape will break. The paw wont wear off as starclan themselves has blessed the creature to join into clan life.
