If nobody knows what the heck Incursion is, please visit the project first: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1278404556/ As I am writing this, it’s been less than a month since the release (May 11th) I think I should talk about the actual 卄丨丂丁ㄖ尺ㄚ (reference) of the album before the review personally. So I started production of the album around October 21, 2025. It was absolutely GARBAGE. The original tracklist was this: Damnation (3:24) Tell Me Twice (unfinished) Sledgehammer (unfinished - later on the final album) Dorito-tune (2:21) Old Incursion Title-Track (3:14) And an album version of Iron Cathedral (4:20) It was, to be honest, very dry and not that good. All of the tracks, looking back on it, are pretty horrible, even the old Sledgehammer too. I was very burnt out from 卄丨丂丁ㄖ尺ㄚ anyways, I was smart to discontinue the progress to work on more better projects, but I wasn’t about to quit Beepbox lmao So I started the whole project around February with Frontier, it was immediately clear to me that it was a little long- Above The Horizon was the second one, also pretty long- soon I realized that my next album would be so long it’d make Pink Floyd songs look short. So I’d call February and above the post-卄丨丂丁ㄖ尺ㄚ era. The reason why is that I shifted into more quality music without those ugly Beepbox presets, I gotta say though– I missed that artificial Kraft plastic cheese sound. Although I did delve into more user presets, which do have a certain type of charm. At that point, I was working on each song every 3-7 days. This couldn’t even be called a schedule, since I randomly made songs when I wanted to at the time– And personally, the album squeezed my brain like a sponge. And my last song to work on was Time to Shine, at that point- I was burnt. I gotta thank @IGNITEstudios and @SimonCheeseburger for the collaborations, they put an extra layer of magic on the songs :) **REVIEW** ___________________________________ Side A - I find this side pretty mediocre in terms. Although I find Sledgehammer and Scream [ft. SIM15] to be my favorites… This side had a bit of weak songs like Above The Horizon, but I put it in the album anyways to make sure I wasn’t adding all funk and having no variation. And honestly, Iron Cathedral being there had no use since it was literally just a repost of my long 20 minute song except in Section I, but I gotta say Scream goes hard. (TIME version = (INCURSION version = I’ve always been confused on why the numbers are lower, I think it’s because the original project was actually made around May which could explain. ____________________________________________________________________ Side B - while I found Side A a tiny bit disappointing, Side B is probably on the line with Michael Jackson’s Thriller, these four songs go hard, I usually listen to this the most, Incursion– Time to Shine– and Prologue go insane. ? === Overall, the album is probably 100,000 times better than 卄丨丂丁ㄖ尺ㄚ, it had a bit of complaints on its instrumentation, that it sounded like Beepbox instruments and drums, And with the instrumentation part, what does that even mean? Because the instruments themselves can’t be analog, the whole thing about Beepbox is that it is digital, I don’t know it’s a bit confusing. I think the complaint I get is the drums, and I have completely avoided this in my next album by just not using the drum thingy. === So yeah, that’s my entire review. Thank you for reading. - rexygames13
put my old songs inside in some beepbox links just shows how bad they are actually (it's inside the project, lol)
