Chapter Twenty-seven: Friends? ZELDA'S POV: My dad was in the asylum, Chief Rogers made sure to keep Link safe. For me...I moved in with Tideshifter and her family. Her family never found out what she was trying to accomplish, but Tideshifter was fine with that. "Zelds, come on first day back at school! You excited?" she asked, as we walked out. "Not sure, I'm scared about Link," I replied, biting my lip. "Oh, it's fine, just become friends with him again and start over. Hylia's magic is strong enough so the past won't hurt him. Although what about the Master Sword, what'd you do with it?" Tideshifter asked. "I brought it back to the Great Deku Tree. he said and I quote, 'The hero will remember if it is Hylia's will. But if he doesn't his time will come.' Weird right?" I chuckled. "Yeah, that tree was always a bit weird," Tideshifter repiled. We made it to the school and we went inside. I saw Link talking to one of his friends. "Go talk to him! It won't be bad trust me!" Tideshifter whispered, as the bell rang. "At lunch," I sighed, going to class. I made it to lunch and saw him walking in front of me. "Here goes nothing," I whispered. I was going to walk past him but someone tripped me. I looked up and saw Tideshifter. She smiled and winked and went inside. "Are you alright?" Link asked, helping to my feet. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, thanks...I'm Zelda by the way," I chuckled, embarrassment raising. he smiled and said, "I-I'm Link." I smiled and we went inside. Tideshifter decided it was best for us to sit with Link and his friends. We talked and ate. Tideshifter poked my side and whispered, "You should ask him out. You two could start over." I looked at Link, he was my best friend, I couldn't just give up on him. "H-hey Link! Y-you free Friday?" I asked, blushing a bit. He raised his brow. "No, why?" he asked. "Wanna go to this restaurant...got great tacos," I replied, with a slight smile. "Did you just ask me out?! We just met!" he laughed. I got more embarrassed and stuttered out, "I-I'd just like to get to know you better!" He nodded slowly and said, "Sure...Rockstar." I gasped softly as I heard the nickname. He smiled and said, "That's your boxing nickname right?" I nodded and smiled. Maybe we could start again. Although to Link's father, it'd be forbidden. He'd never want to hurt Link with the past. But that's the funny part of being in love. You can't stop your feelings even if it was forbidden. So we'll be friends then forbidden lovers. Blue-eyes and Rockstar.
